My skin is particularly dry, not only my face, but also my hands. My hands often feel dry especially after I wash them. Usually I only apply body lotion after shower and I don’t repeat it after washing my hands so they feel really dry. Although I know they feel dry, I often ignore it. Until I realized that other people would notice my hands feel rough whenever I shake hand with them. There are times I meet new people during events and introduced myself to them.
One day Affi gave me L’Occitane Lavender Hand Cream and I tried it. The texture is light so it quickly absorbs and doesn’t feel greasy at all. From previously dry and a bit rough, my hands turned soft and smooth after I appled this cream. This cream also has a nice lavender scent. Rubbing and massaging my hands with this cream is somehow relaxing when I pause from work and give myself a quick break.
As written on its box, L’Occitane Lavender Hand Cream is enriched with shea butter to help nourish the skin. And it contains PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) lavender essential oil from Haute-Provence, no wonder it helps me to unwind for a while. Besides shea butter and lavender essential oil, it also has other natural yet beneficial ingredients as you can see from the photo below.
Overall, I like using this hand cream and it made want to do a little research to find out more about the benefits of using hand cream in general. Hand is one of the most battered area of the body, you touch and hold almost anything with your hands. Hence, applying hand cream several times a day is a worthwhile ritual to keep your hands treated and soft. I also found some sources that sated that regular use of hand cream will improve the skin texture.
Have you recognized the benefits of using hand cream before I write this article? What hand cream do you usually use? If you have no idea and willing to give L’Occitane Lavender Hand Cream a try, you can buy it for Rp 215,000 (75 ml).
