In conjunction with Clinique Happy Day, which will be celebrated on December 12, 2008, Clinique would like to give away 10 prize packages, each consisting of a million rupiahs worth of products. And you can be a winner!

ll you need to do is submit a picture of your “happy moment” and tell us in a few words about that moment (or the picture for that matter) and why it makes you happy. It can be a picture from your last birthday, your family, friends, pets, the most perfect lipstick you just bought (from Clinique! ahem) – anything, as long as it brings you joy to see them!

We are so happy to announce that Fashionesedaily will be purchasing 10 tickets to World Pink, World Without Breast Cancer : A Charity Event which will be held on November 16, 2008 at the Fountain Area - Grand Indonesia Shopping Town. This is possible because of the generosity of our own forum members who donated a sum of money during FD bakti sosial activity last Ramadhan. FD Baksos was initiated by the fabulous Tinkerbell and supported by many FD forum members. We managed to donate the collected clothes, food and money to a number of orphanages, institutions and other communities in need. You can read about the activities here.

Anyway, from what is left in this charity fund, we feel that it is appropriate to donate some of them to this worthy cause. After all, 100% of the selling price of these tickets will be donated to Yayasan Kesehatan Payudara Jakarta - an organization which is committed to deplete the late-stadium breast cancer cases in Jakarta by the year 2020 by raising awareness on the importance of early detection.

So, now we have 10 tickets to the event. What do we do with them? Give them back to you, of course! After all, this is all possible because of your donations so there are no other people who deserve to go to the event (and get those goody bags) than our forum members!

COACH recently had an online contest looking for an inspiring and unique design to be featured on their tote bags. The winner will receive a shopping spree of US$ 2,500, some Coach goodies, and the winning design will be printed on the next Coach limited edition totes. I’m not particularly a fan of Coach, but after seeing some of the design submission online, they look pretty cool. It’s definitely a smart way to revamp their brand, especially now that Coach is experiencing a tremendous increase in sale after more and more Americans shifted their accessory preference, from European luxury labels to a cheaper and more affordable local brand. Coach has succeeded in targeting to a wider “audience” of middle and upper class shoppers in this slow economy. Their stores could easily be found in every suburban malls across the US, and every American teens seem to be their #1 loyal customers. Too bad that the contest has ended, but knowing that there’s a Coach store in Indonesia, maybe this limited edition tote bag would also be sold in their Jakarta branch. The Italian fashion house, Gucci, is celebrating a milestone by opening the largest Gucci store worldwide, on 725 Fifth Avenue, New York. The new 46,000 sq  ft. Flagship store is the reflection of Gucci’s 21st century aesthetic, designed by Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini and architect James Carpenter. 

And to honor the Big Apple, Gucci has exclusively launched a limited edition of Gucci Loves NY bag, in which 100% of its proceeds will be donated to the maintenance and operation of the 21 children’s playgrounds in Central Park, New York.  This boston/doctor’s bag comes in three sizes, Small $ 570, Medium $ 640, and Large $ 690, available starting February 8th, 2008.
