Indonesian Fashion Spot!

do you guys use toner? I have never used toner, simply because i didn’t understand what it does..hehe. but now that i have read the importance of toner..i know why my skin looks so dull..:p. toner supposedly restore the ph level of your skin after it gets distorted with water when you wash your face. well the skin can actually restore itself, but it’s going to take up to half an hour, with toner, the ph level is restored in an instant. not only that, toner also moisturize and exfoliate your skin, so the dead skin cells will be removed and it also tightens your pores. i’m so going to add toner to my beauty regime, but now the question is…which toner should i use? i heard the one with glycolic acid is the best. the one from ddf has that ingredients, so maybe i’ll try that one..or if you know a good toner out there..please share it here…thaank youu…=)

the september issue of my magazines subscription have started to come…and they are so thick i could use them for weight lifting (september vogue easily reached 700 pages). well, that’s why i love the september issue. it’s an important issue for fashion magazines since that’s where the season changes from summer to fall. there are more new ads because this is when the fashion house introduce their new fall collections, the ad rates go much higher too. but i won’t complain, i love the ads!!. my lucky and teen vogue subscription came with a supplement called fashion rocks magazine, i have only glanced through the pages and the editorials look very interesting, they feature how some fashion designers (marc jabobs, luella bartley, etc) get their inspiration through different music eras, models (gemma, gisele, lily, karolina) and their favorite bands and so many other stuff from cover to cover. this can be bought separately too and i heard the one that is sold separately has more editorial pages. wow.

now where is my vogue subscription?? (kinda dissapointed to find out the cover is kirsten dunst….especially when uk vogue has miss moss!!)

finally, prada takes its handbags collection up a notch for Fall 2006 and instead of the boring nylon handbags, we see these pretty bags on the shelves.

these strut cranberry mules arrived today, i got it off ebay. i’ve liked these since they first came out last year, but i don’t know why i didn’t get it right away. (ohh i know..i was waiting for them to go on sale..:P). it’s carlos by carlos santana. i always love carlos santana shoes, they are pretty, affordable and comfortable. i know pointy shoes are not the fashion look of the moment anymore, its popularity is buried under the pretty peep toe, the round toe as well as the platform shoes ala christian louboutin. but for me, pointy shoes will always be my favorite shoes, especially for fall and winter and plus they just make my legs look slimmer somehow..:p

pertama nya sih saya nggak begitu suka sama yang namanya patent leather, abis kayanya kalo di liat kaya plastik and cheap looking gitu yah. btw buat yang belum tau..patent leather itu adalah kulit yang di poles with a high gloss finish, jadinya mengkilap gitu deh. tapi setelah di liat liat kayanya lucu juga yah untuk benda benda kecil seperti sepatu, belt atau tas yang ada aksen glossy nya. apalagi kalo bajunya simple dan polos, it’s a nice touch, really..asal jangan dari atas kebawah bahannya dari patent leather semua ya..hehe.. nanti di kira anak retro mod lagi, unless that’s the look you’re going for.

Missouri’s tax-free back-to-school shopping starts tomorrow and ends on august 6. That means no sales tax for less than 100 dollars of clothing and shoes and 50 dollars of school supplies. Happy Shopping everyone..=)
