the hills

Hanzky in Celebrity — June 1st, 2006 at 9:48 am

finally, something interesting to watch on mtv, the hills, premiered last night. this is the sequel of the laguna beach (i have never watched that show since it’s too high school for me)…but the sequel catches my interest as the casts have graduated and now in college and trying to break in the fashion industry and the limelight of hollywood. one of the casts attends fashion institute of design and merchandising and interns at teen vogue along with one other member. trus juga ada yang attends art school and receives offer from hollywood’s premiere party promoter, ada yang looking for modelling and acting job. i’m just hoping there’s more about those i mentioned above than the unneccesary drama.

the haircut

Hanzky in Haircare, Nail Corner, Salon & Spa — May 31st, 2006 at 9:17 am

i want to show pictures of my new haircut but i don’t have the one that clearly show the cut..but i think it definetely more like the #3 below, the only difference is the end of my hair tends to curl out since i don’t have straight hair to begin with. all in all, i love it, it’s a nice change, the length is just perfect. oh and i love the hair salon too, emily did my hair and she is goood..the only complain is just she flat ironed my hair a little too flat for my liking, but other than that i totally recommend her. the hair salon is nice, it’s a one stop place for your beauty needs, from haircut, hairstyle, hair treatment to waxing, make up, manicure, pedicure, facial, etc. they have different kinds of stylist, from the associate, to stuff, to senior stuff all the way to dominic himself, which of course with the most expensive price, from $83 and up. they gave me a goody bag filled with shampoo, conditioner and other samples to bring home, so that’s nice. i was thinking to get my nails done in there too since i thought maybe they could do it while i got my hairdone to save time, but they couldn’t (i don’t think there’s any place in here that can do it, unlike back home).

so i drove to ladue afterwards and got my nails done in ladue nails, across barnes & noble. believe it or not, it was my first time to get my nails done here in the usa, i always thought it’s such a waste of time, i even felt a bit guilty that day, thinking maybe i could do something else more useful..but hey i deserve a little treatment every now and then, right?..so maybe it’s all right afterall. anyway, the place is nice, all of the manicurist is vietnamese, the one that did mine didn’t even speak english, that’s why she didn’t get the color that i wanted and gave me a french manicure instead (yang ujungnya putih2)..i didn’t realize it at first cause i was reading a magazine..and when i finally realized she had done all five of them and i was like..”hahh emangnya masih musim ya yang model begini?”..hihi…tapi ya udah lah biar aja, i was running out of time..lagian kasian dia kayanya udah serius2 ngerjainnya. i got a pedicure too, it was nice sitting on the spa chair and getting my back massaged..=). the place offers facial treatment and waxing too..i’ll probably go back there next month.

haircut tomorrow, yay!!

Hanzky in Haircare — May 25th, 2006 at 12:46 pm

bad hair day 24/7, that’s me..=). what i miss about home is the luxury of going to hair salon to get my hair shampooed and styled every few days. can’t do that here, that explains why most of the time my hair is always in ponytail. i have long, thick and stubborn hair that is so hard to style, it doesn’t look healthy too as it’s too dry and has lots of split ends. i have appointment tomorrow at this salon, it’s gonna be my first time there, hope i won’t walk out with regret tomorrow as i have too many dissapointing experiences with the hair salon here. even mas mas at lutuye near my house can do a much better job than most of the hair stylists here, and i’m not kidding!!. so far, keiko is the only one who can come close to the stylist back home, she’s a japanese who works at le louvre, but she is in japan right now and won’t be back until end of next month. when i feel like getting a hair cut, i want it right away, hehe…my hair desperately needs a touch up. anywaayy, i’m thinking shoulder length, definetely with side bangs and some layers, i don’t know if i want to have layers all around or just the front part, it’s gonna look messy to have lots of layers, but it’s boring if it’s too flat. hmm..decision decision. here’s a few pictures for inspiration, what do you think?

Hanzky in Celebrity — May 24th, 2006 at 11:25 am

just look at the bra and the thong…ewww!!!

at least now i appreciate her for taking the baby everywhere with her without a nanny, and that’s a hell of a job. she could have just take the easy way out by taking the nanny along to help her or leave the baby at home with the nanny. nevertheless she still needs to pull her act back together Now!!

AG Jeans Denim Skirt

Hanzky in Fashion Splash — May 23rd, 2006 at 11:50 am

I scored this skirt last week at Saks 5th Avenue. I have been looking for a denim skirt to wear this summer and this one is just perfect. Most of the denim skirt (and jacket too) that I found tend to be too thick and stiff, this one is soft and sits nicely on the hip. The price is not bad either, it was originally $70, but was marked down to 80% off…not bad at all heh..=)

Ooppss she did it again

Hanzky in Celebrity — May 19th, 2006 at 1:16 pm

taken from us weekly: Britney Spears nearly dropped her 8-month old son Sean while exiting a New York City hotel this afternoon. Holding her son in her left arm and a drink in her right hand, Spears tripped on her wedge espadrille sandal sending Sean’s head flying backwards, his baseball cap falling to the ground. An unidentified man walking beside the singer helped her regain her balance and Sean was unharmed.
I can understand that accident like that happens in real life. But it is an accident waiting to happen if you are pregnant and carrying your 8 months infant in one hand and a drink in the other hand when you are wearing platform shoes with jeans dragging underneath. And the stupid thing about that accident was, she didn’t drop her drink when and after the incident so she could use that other hand to safe the baby, was it a$50,000 water or something? Didn’t she learn?? It’s only last week that she was on the headline for driving a car with her baby in the car seat facing forward (he should be facing backward since he is not 1 year old yet)..and we all still remember that a few months ago she was driving a car with the baby on her lap!!..What were you thinking Britney??!

Aside from her latest parenting mishap, just look at her, I always cringe everytime I see her photos..I mean she always looks gross. Her hair is always frizzy and her face always looks as if she has just woken up, wearing the same old terry cloth tube dress over and over again with the same ugly flip flops. She even wore a bebe sunglasses in a few pictures that I saw. (you wouldn’t expect Britney Spears to sport a bebe sunglasses, would you?) I can never understand her transformation. She had the whole world in front of her not too long ago and now she is a walking train wreck. Where did that teenage icon go?..
