It was love at first sniff. I can not think of any other fragrance that makes me feel so happy everytime I put it on. The first time I tried Annick Goutal’s Le Chevrefeuille was in B18 and at the first whiff of this bright, sunny scent, I knew I had to have it.
Le Chevrefeuille was released in 2003 as a limited-edition and was created by Annick Goutal’s daughter Camille Goutal and perfumer Isabelle Doyen. The notes are honeysuckle, green notes, narcissus, jasmine and lemon petigrain. It’s like summer in a bottle. Its citrus note is very apparent on the opening and then it settles into a delicious, green honeysuckle. It is not a complex scent but it is so cute and so cheery it makes me smile all day long. From what I read, this perfume is a truely straightforward honeysuckle scent. I can’t remember whether I’ve smelled the real smell of honeysuckle, maybe I should start go down to the flower market more often and find out…

I do a lot of water activities (swimming, diving), and while my skin is not particularly dry, it can be if I don’t moisturize right after. I found, however, that it’s particularly unpleasant to wear lotion or cream moisturizers right after swimming because my skin would feel particularly sticky and somehow make me feel warm (I think because the lotions are blocking the perspiration), resulting in sweat and runny lotions. Not pleasant.
Enter Olay In-shower Body Lotion a few months ago. I had read about it in US-based blogs, and kept my eye peeled for it’s arrival in Indonesia. Finally found it quite a few months ago, in a buy 1 get one free deal. Score! I got the Shea Butter and Age Defying variants.

What do Kimora Lee Simmons and I have in common? We both female, of Asian descent - that’s obvious - but we also, at some point, both put caviar on our hair.

Imagine this.
It’s another hot day in Jakarta. You have plenty of chores to finish yet nothing seems to go your way. You just realized your atm card was left in the machine. You go to the bank only to be told you need to wait a whole week to get a new card. Now you can’t do any transaction plus you’re late to a meeting. You wait for a cab on the side of the street but none show up. You are now sweating, tired, hungry and even later than before, standing hopelessly watching one of Jakarta’s worst traffic jams that showed no signs of moving. What’s worse, ojeg guys won’t stop harassing you to go with them. Left with no choice, you finally decided to hop on one of the ojeg which was proven to be a pretty bad decision since the driver has a penchant for driving right behind buses that blows black smoke up your face making you suffocated. You finally get to the meeting point but the person already left. You tried to apologize over the phone but she won’t take your calls.
