Kupu-kupu seringkali menebarkan inspirasi bagi manusia yang mengaguminya. Bukan hanya karena kecantikannya, tetapi juga karena proses yang harus dilewati sang kupu kupu untuk menjadi cantik. Seperti yang kita tahu, kebanyakan manusia harus berjuang melalui proses demi proses sebelum akhirnya mencapai sukses, persis seperti kupu-kupu. Just a random mumbling to share what I went through the other day. It’s not about fashion or beauty or anything but I’m a sucker for everything in one products from all-in-one makeup palettes or multifunction Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge to two-in-one shampoo and conditioner and so many other things. Using these all-in-one products can simplify the job I need to do, minimize the effort, time and space consumed, they are just a life saver to any modern being..:D

The product that I’m going to introduce here is HP OfficeJet all-in-one series. At first, I didn’t think I need a printer/scanner/fax/copier at home. After all, my neighborhood is swamped with Warnet in every corner, I can just easily ask someone in my house to hop in there and do whatever I need to do. Until a few days ago, when I urgently needed to print out some documents, I first went to the nearest Warnet only to find out that it is full, there’s no available station to use, even only for a three minutes use. So off I went to the second one that is just two blocks away. Turned out, that one doesn’t have a printing machine. The third one I visited did have a printer, but it ran out of the colored inks…..yikes. Finally, I found the Warnet with working (and equipped with colored ink) and has a vacant computer station at the fourth one. Too bad I couldn’t print the document right away because the computer was off, the guy had to turn it on and I had to wait in front of a dusty computer until everything is fully loaded. Fast forward 30 minutes later, I got my 9 pages print out, paid the Rp. 5000 printing fee and walked out of the Warnet. Now you get the point, it was time-consuming and I’ve wasted unnecessary effort.

Aside from the clothes and the makeup, the shoes are another entertaining aspect to watch for. The shoes can easily be categorized into four different style; wedges, gladiators, the strappies (t-strap, ankle strap) and the evening or prom style shoes from Rotelli, you know the kind, they are usually made from satin and have stone embellishments. I don’t have picture of the last style as I don’t see them as anything special.

Since this post is the last post of the Jakarta Fashion Week series, we would like to thank Femina Group to create (and invited us) to such event, and congratulate them for a job well done. Looking forward to a more exciting JFW next year!!.

New York Fashion Week (NYFW) officially started on Friday, September 5th and will last till September 12th, 2008. It’s one of the busy month in the fashion industry, as several designers will be showing their latest collections of Spring 2009 at the famous Tent in Bryant Park and several locations around New York. Now that I no longer do styling anymore, I definitely would miss working in the backstage or even replacing my ex-editor boss to see some shows =( But no worries, purplerebel and I are planning to hit the streets around Bryant Park and New York City to capture some street styles around and during the fashion week, in which should be as exciting as the runway shows at NYFW =p. After all, most of the shows would always be available at STYLE.COM and accessible to everyone everywhere! “Wow, you smell like cupcakes!” exclaimed one taxi driver a few years ago when I was rushing somewhere and wanted to touch up my perfume yet the only thing I could find in my handbag was a Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar body spray. Other times, I spent the entire day sniffing my nose because I thought I smelled fruit tart, when in fact it was my co-worker who was wearing Jennifer Lopez Live perfume!

Thanks to the increasing popularity of gourmand fragrances, we can now smell those delectable scents without having to run to the nearest bakery!

The commonly accepted definition of gourmand fragrances is any perfume that contain “edible” notes such as chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar, bread, rice pudding, pink pepper, caramel, coffee, almond, wheat, liquorices and many more. The first gourmand fragrance was the phenomenal Angel by Thierry Mugler. The fashion designer wanted to create a fragrance that smells “mouth-watering and tasty” that reminds him of his childhood. The perfumer, Oliver Cresp, then whipped up a mixture of Bergamot, Jasmin, red currant, dewberry, honey, patchouli, vanilla, coumarine, chocolate and caramel notes together and so Angel was born in 1994. Today Angel is still as popular as ever and interestingly, people seem to either love it or hate it!

Dua hari yang lalu, Fashionese Daily melakukan beberapa hal terkait dengan forum. Seperti yang telah disampaikan dalam blog ini beberapa waktu lalu bahwa Fashionese Daily akan mengubah mekanisme registrasi forum. Nah, apa saja yang telah kami lakukan? Apa saja yang berubah dari sebelumnya? Ini dia:

Penghapusan member dari database forum, dengan mekanisme:

• Member forum yang belum pernah menuliskan satu reply sama sekali atau post count = NOL
• Member forum yang tidak login selama 6 bulan terakhir dan jumlah post countnya tidak sampai 50, termasuk user yang belum melakukan konfirmasi email.

Untuk proses registrasi, Fashionese Daily juga mengubah mekanismenya. Forum administrator akan me-review terlebih dahulu semua registrasi yang masuk. Dan, ini akan dilakukan secara manual. Ada beberapa tips supaya registrasi bisa berjalan dengan lancar.
