Indonesian Fashion Spot!

The most anticipated collection from target GO International is finally here…it was supposed to hit the shelves on February 4, I went to my local target only to find some left over from Behnaz (the previous designer) collection..boohoo..padahal udah semangat gitu ke Target pas lagi ke superbowl so I could have the whole store all by myself while other people were watching the game. Kata si mbak mbak nya memang belum di keluarin koleksi nya, should be out sometimes this week. But target.com has put it online, you can click here to see the whole collection. I really liked it when I first saw the whole look, I planned to buy the skinny pants and the gray skinny jeans, but when I saw the individual pieces online iIwasn’t too excited. I guess I just have to see them in the store and see how they fit. I’m afraid none of the pants would fit since I’ve gained quite a few pounds from my trip last month, i’m trying to slowly shaking them off though..one pound at a time..:D

Ada toko sepatu online baru dari GAP Inc, mereka nggak jual sepatu sepatu dari Gap or its cousin retailer kaya old navy dan banana republic, tapi dari merk merk lain. free shipping both ways dan kalo punya credit card dari tiga toko itu bisa di pake juga di piperlime. mereka akan menampilkan guest editor juga sekali sekali, kaya sekarang yang jadi guest editornya (siapa lagii kalo bukan) si rachel zoe..ughh di mana mana dia sih yaa. the website sure looks prettier than zappos.com, but i’m sticking to zappos for now..=)

Viktor and Rolf collection for H&M will hit store this Thursday, November 9. This is the third H&M high fashion collaboration, the first one was with Karl Lagerfeld and and the second one was with Stella McCartney. Sadly the H&M stores in St. Louis won’t be stocking the collection, only in select stores around the states. we didn’t have the Stella collection last time either but I was hoping we would be having the Viktor and Rolf one right now since H&M just opened a bigger store here. but alas, I’ll just have to resort to ebay if I decide to get my hands on one of the items. The collection is very Viktor and Rolf; conceptual, unfussy, classic and avant garde.

i haven’t made a special trip to target to check on this line, but from what i see on the web, the collection is rather dissapointing..abis konsepnya lebih ke baju baju pesta, dress dengan detil renda, sequins..all kinds of things you just don’t usually buy at target and sadly they look cheap to me, cuma ada beberapa aja yang keliatannya bagus..but i have to see in person first to get a feel of the quality. by the way, the designer this time is Behnaz Sarafpour, an iranian born who graduated from parsons school of design and has started her line since 2001. she’s famous for her simple cuts, colors and fabrics..makanya di target collection ini mostly are done in black.

the rumor is true afterall, kate moss will create and design an exclusive collection for topshop. the collection will be available in any topshop store as well as on its website in the spring 2007. i personally think it’s a perfect collaboration, not only because kate is british and topshop is a british retailer..hehe..but kate likes to shop there and most of topshop collection (from what i’ve seen on the website) already have influenced from kate’s style anyway..so the branding is good there, kate can help topshop to go international and break in the american market. i’m interested to see the collection…too bad we don’t have topshop here, they were supposed to open a flagship store in NY early 2007 but due to some dispute they have to postpone it until the end of 2007. i have visited top shop store a few times in singapore years ago, but can’t recall much about the stuff there except that they have some nice jeans, i just remember it was the first high street store with the cheap-chic concept that i encountered. don’t really know about the quality either, price wise i think they are a bit more expensive than H&M. i’ll know more when i go back home end of this year after i visit the store in senayan city..;)

here’s the new sixty hotel for the miss sixty denim fans out there, located in riccione, the northern part of italy. the hotel design has a distinct groovy style where each room is designed individually by different artist.

H&M just opened its st. louis 3rd store in chesterfield mall last wednesday. and the good thing is, the store carries H&M Children line…yay i’m so excited. H&M makes the best kids clothes, i’m telling you..it’s much much better than old navy kids, gap kids, children’s place, janie and jack, gymboree.i’ll be there this weekend..i need to pick up some H&M goodies for myself=)
