got this violet velvet blazer from the gap yesterday, i don’t really shop at the gap so i didn’t know what size would fit me, i tried size 4 at first, it’s too big, tried size 2, still a little loose, so i tried size 0 and it fits like an old best friend, hehe..yayy…

i went to frontenac plaza this afternoon.. ahh oohing over the beautiful bags at saks and neiman marcus…stopped by bcbg boutique and got me this cardi wrap in red…it was on sale, so i couldn’t help it..;)

i just got this seven jeans last week, the bootcut one with the bronze swarovski crystal at the back pockets. i love it… it just needs to be hemmed.

well..i’m not gonna say that st. louis is a shopping mecca…cause it’s obviously not even close…malah di sini cenderung kurang banyak pilihan..(terutama cheap and chic store..:p)..makanya kalo disini belanja ya paling forever 21 lagi forever 21 lagii…hehehe..kayanya kita ada either 4 or 5 foverer 21 stores in the city deh. tapi akhir2 ini lumayan deh banyak toko toko baru yang buka, ada urban outtiftters , i went there at the grand opening..nggak begitu besar sih tokonya..tapi lumayan lah..barang2nya lagi bagus2…i love their gauchos collection…bags and shoes serta kalung2 nya juga bagus2 sama bolero nya apalagi..omg kayanya pingin di beli semua deh, hehehe…tapi sayang harganya masih kemahalan….:p..and that’s remind me why i don’t like the store in the first place..hehe…i don’t mean to sound like a cheap skate ya…but you just have to know mana yang quality nya memang bagus thus worth to spend the extra money dan mana yang sebenernya cuma barang murah, made in sweat shop tapi di mark up besar besaran dengan branding dan packaging yang menarik.

oh iya ada cerita menarik dari urban outfitters sih sebenernya karena ternyata banyak yang nggak suka sama toko ini sampe bikin gerakan boycott. Jadi ceritanya President of the Board of Director nya itu, si Richard Hayne is a major contributor to the republican and right-wing senator rick santorum, jadi a small part of each dollar we spend ends up in the republican campaign, dan nyebelinnya agenda politik nya itu juga di salurkan lewat barang barang yang di jual di situ. contohnya nih t-shirt yang ada tulisannya..”VOTING IS FOR OLD PEOPLE”…memang sih sepertinya t-shirt2 kaya gitu kan cuma untuk lucu lucuan aja..but a lot of people believe that there’s a message that he’s trying to send..untuk mendiscourage anak2 muda nge vote..karena yang muda2 itu lah yang mensupport democrat party….how lame!!..padahal media2 amerika lainnya amat sangat men encourage anak anak muda to Rock The Vote!!…ini malah sebaliknya…oh well..

by the way..anthropologie and free people are also owned by the same company..uh oh..what a fashionista gonna do?..huehe…

anyway..selain ada urban outfitters, H&M juga mau di buka this fall in the west county mall..YAYY..of all the cities in the midwest they pick st. louis, how awesome is that..??…that sure is an exciting news for the st. louis shoppers. Toko2 baru lainnya juga banyak sih aside from clothing such as Crate and Barrel, Bombay Kids, PF Chang, etc. Dan mayor st. louis nih lagi nge lobby IKEA untuk buka di sini….which i don’t think will succeed…kayanya nggak bakal deh IKEA buka di sini, not anytime soon.

kayanya bulan maret dan april kemaren bener bener bulan belanja deh buat gue…nothing fancy..mostly forever 21 stuff…hihi…but i’m trying to be good this month..padahal kemaren udah tempted to buy a new outfit for my graduation but i was that good so i didn’t buy anything. Kecuali kemaren sih..terpaksa beli a few new workout shirts and pants…abisnya gue nggak punya baju olahraga sihh…(i started joining the gym last week) tapi untungnya setelah di cari2..ketemu juga sneakers gue..heheh..asiik jadinya nggak perlu beli. The one and only sneaker of mine since I graduated from high school. the winter is gone and summer is approaching, let’s embrace it by wearing the colorful polos…*duh apa sih nggak penting..:p*..but i do think i’m addicted to polos…not the lacoste one though..with the speed of fashion these days..who pays a freaking 80 bucks for a polo?…certainly not meeh. I’m happy with the ones i found at aeropostale..$20 for two..yay..i take 8 of those than 1 lacoste anytime…hehe. I bought 4 colors so far, white, teal, yellow and purple. I remember when i was in junior high school, my dad often brought me the lacoste stuff, from t-shirt, shoes, school bag..and i didn’t even know what it was..:D. Anyway…baby j also got lots of polo..from the ralph lauren one to H&M to those i found at walmart..hehe..gotta love boys on polo..kayanya rapih aja and stylish *think prince william*… perfect for casual look .

So is polo shirt a trend?..i’ve never thought of it as a trend..karena polo kan sebenernya basic wardrobe aja..the type of shirt that is always there somewhere in your closet from time to time. I don’t know how it suddently gets so much attention and then everybody starts wearing it altogether…di mall aja banyak banget anak abg yang pake, especially the pink color and they wear it with the collars up. Tapi polo shirt ini memang universal sekali yaa…everybody can wear it, dari babies sampe orang tua pun cocok cocok aja dan kalo mau agak resmi tinggal pake blazer aja and you’re ready to go.

i found the shawl/collar cardigan that I liked, similar to the one in the pic but different color, at Forever 21, but I couldn’t find the small one and asking to the SA if they have it or not was pointless..so i just walked around and checked every single racks. I even went to the fitting room to check the clothes that were still hung in the rack they were about to put back to the floor..all to no avail..(notice how determined i am to get what i wanted?..:D)..Oh well. But at least i got something else to make me happy..it’s a dark green long sleeve top with lace all around the upper part of the chest area..kinda have a victorian look..and it’s for $6.99..Yayy for bargain shopping. Anyway..there were lots of stuff that I liked in there..cute chiffon tops, gypsy skirts, pleated skirts and a lot more, i’ll save those for when the weather gets warmer

After that, I checked out charlotte russe to see if they have the collar cardigan similiar to the one in Forever 21..but everything was blah in there, just like usual…so i went out quickly and checked rampage…and they did have it…it wasn’t exactly the same model and this one is made of silk so it’s very delicate, but I liked it just the same and this was on sale too and comes with a pretty brooch..=)

On sunday we went to Galleria..I didn’t buy anything but I spotted a few things I liked…maybe i’ll get them when i go there next time. I like the sandals they have at the splash, it’s from Candies Vintage Line (I like both the maryleen and sadey) …I like the feminine colors plus the fact that they are very comfy.

The other thing was the coat at banana republic, knee length with inset waistband, it’s a very pretty coat that will make you stand out in the crowd..and it’s on sale for $79 from two hundreds something. I know it gets warmer now but hey winter is always coming back…so it’s really a good buy. But the thing is, there was only one left…and it was XS..i don’t think it’s gonna fit me..but doesn’t banana republic run big??..hihi..so maybe it will..oh well whatever..i’m sure someone has already bought it…:P

I had a bit of shopping at the galleria this afternoon, I was driving from downtown and was supposed to go to the airport but i haven’t got the information on what time my friend’s flight is..so i decided to stop by at the galleria while waiting for the call. Browsed around Famous barr, they have lots of cute shoes at the sale rack and i found a cute peep toe brown pump with a hint of pink and pretty flower detail from L.E.I for like 19 bucks. The heels are 3 something inches high but they hold my weight pretty good, I knew I’ll be comfortable walking in that shoes…so off i went to the cash register to ask them to get the other pair and paid for it.

Next stop was Bath and Body Works,I just wanted to check out some of the product line that they carry in their store that i happen to like(can only be found in galleria and west county mall) like Dr. Murad’s skin care, DDF, Frederic fekkai, etc, etc. Now they even have Biotherm…YAYY…i’ve been wanting to try biotherm since god knows when but i don’t know where to find it here and i don’t want to buy it online. I’ve been hearing a lot of rave about their lines. The first thing I checked was the body lotion, Lait Corporel anti drying body milk. I don’t like the dryness of my skin during this harsh winter, i have to put lotion on my hands over and over again but it still doesn’t moisturize enough. The sales associate said that she swears by it ever since she bought it cause she only need to use it once in the morning and her skin stays smooth all day long. So i bought it although for me it’s a bid on the expensive side for a body lotion, but when i tried it, a little goes along the way..so it should last a while. and i guess the SA was right…i tried the lotion when i was in the store and my hands do not feel dry at all up until now. I guess it was worth it then. Anyway, I also bought a technician shampoo from frederic fekkai, it is for dry, damaged and color-treated hair…ugh oh…sounds like someone’s hair…

After bath and body works, Express was my next stop, hey it was just right next to it..:p…i loovee their pants collection but i hate the fact that they have marked up the price like crazy. I miss the old express where everything was thirty bucks and under. Good thing not all the pants come in the short length or otherwise i want them in every color, hehe. the black n grey ones can be found in Marshalls though, with a much lower price. But I did get a pair of pants nevertheless (size 2!! I fitted into their size 0 before i went home but since i ate like a pig while i was there, it’s too snug on me now) in dark denim, not sure if it is the editor pants or the correspondent pants. I also managed to get a short sleeve brown sequin trim top.
