Indonesian Fashion Spot!

Sweet & Feminine. Those two words come to mind whenever I see beautiful eyelet tops, or dresses, or blazers or anything else really because everything seems to come in eyelet this time around, and they come in an array of color, although I think white is still the favorite. Black and khaki come in close second. The black ones would be perfect to be worn for dinner on a summer night and the lighter color ones are the ultimate choice for outdoor summer event. Pair it with dark jeans for a nice contrast or wear your white eyelet top with khaki cropped pants. And just go easy on the accessories..=)

Eyelet memang cocok nya untuk summer sih, nggak heran keluarnya pas spring summer aja, karakter dari bahannya kan bolong bolong, jadi enak ada angin masuk. Tapi sebenernya suka bikin ribet juga kalo bolongannya kebanyakan dan besar besar, jadi harus pakai daleman…yang enak sih kalo baju nya udah ada liningnya. Kalo di sini eyelet cuma ada pas spring dan summer, tapi kalo di jakarta pasti nya ada selalu yaa..soalnya kan di pake juga buat curtain dan mukena..heheh…

There is another similar invention called the b buckle. This one looks like a belt and worn like a belt. I can imagine how it works on button fly pants but not sure how it’s going to work on zipper fly pants, is the zipper going to stay put? It seems like it’s going to get undone. But nevertheless, it is still a genius invention, you can still wear your favorite jeans and save money for not spending on maternity pants.

sebenernya postingan ini di buat beberapa bulan yang lalu tapi entah kenapa kok lupa untuk di selesain..:D..tapi nggak pa pa sih di posting sekarang karena trendnya masih berlanjut, jadi relevan lah..=).

anyway..if you’re still waiting for the right time to get pregnant..don’t wait any longer because fashion-wise, now is The right time for all the mamas to look pretty and adorable throughout the whole 9 months. soalnya baju baju yang lagi trend sekarang sangat accommodating for growing belly. now you can avoid wearing the insulting maternity clothes all together, biasanya baju baju hamil itu jelek jelek dan juga mahal, padahal di pake nya juga cuma beberapa bulan aja.

model model baju sekarang banyak yang ber-volume, ada yang model empire waist (waistline nya lebih tinggi dari regular waistline), model tunic, wraps blouse atau wrap dress atau juga berbentuk seperti trapesium jadi roomy bagian perut serta pinggangnya. trus banyak juga cardigan/jacket yang bagian bawahnya nggak ada kancingnya, cuma atasnya aja yang ada jadi nya nggak ketat (see last two pics above) atau blouse yang hem bawahnya bisa melar (smocked hem maksudnya, i don’t know how to explain that!!..see pic below). pokonya hampir semua model yang lagi musim itu cocok di pake ibu hamil. di jakarta juga sama aja koleksi nya…baby doll kan banyak tuh di mana mana, bahkan di ITC aja banyak yang cuma Rp 35,000 an..atau 3 Rp100.000..hehe, it won’t get any cheaper than that!!

The first picture is Anna Sui dress from s/s 2007 collection. I’m not sure about the price, but I would guess it’s around $450, as most Anna Sui dresses are. The second one is Forever 21 Maven Top, for $17.80. Forever 21 is knockoff heaven, as soon as fashion week is a wrapped, you can bet your bottom dollar that Forever 21 is starting to produce similar style and have them ready in the store in a really short time. Memang sih hampir semua merk merk high-street ter-inspirasi dari desainer, but no one does it as blatantly as Forever 21. Dari mulai Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch, Balenciaga, Oscar de la Renta, Missoni. I even have a tunic/dress that looks similar from Viktor & Rolf collection. Baru baru ini kan Forever 21 di tuntut sama Diane Von Furstenberg karena ada beberapa dress nya (yang pernah di pake lindsay lohan) yang di tiru. Hmm..menarik juga nih kasusnya untuk di ikutin.

I got this trench coat from Old Navy last weekend but mine is in black as I think it looks much nicer in black, trust me, this picture doesn’t do it justice..heheh. I like everything about it..especially the buttons…and oh the price too since it was on sale for $19.99. I think trench coat is definitely a fashion staple and you’ll need it to get through the rainy days since it is water resistant/weather proof..and it’s a classic too, it was firstly introduced in 1901 to be worn by British soldiers during the first world war. Of course, it was invented by Thomas Burberry..thus the ever so popular Burberry trench coat!!

i think this is a good way to get used to wearing bright colors, by wearing it for layering purposes…i’m taking baby steps here..=). btw, i love the pants..but the zipper annoys the hell out of me..it just won’t stay up for more than a few minutes and whenever i sit down, it gives enough pressure for it to slowly make its way down, it won’t grab to its teeth somehow. i don’t think it’s a case of a bad fit though, cause the fit is perfect, not too small and not too big. maybe it’s just bad quality zipper or just badly constructed. oh well, either way i probably need to take it to the alteration to change the zipper.

i always find myself attracted to stripe, i know they are not the most forgiving pattern for people who are not blessed with long and skinny body, makanya sering mau beli tapi nggak jadi. ini juga kalo pake baju yang garis garis horizontal biasanya untuk daleman aja, with a little portion peeking out, luarnya bisa pake cardigan atau jacket, bisa juga pake vest or sleeveless baby doll. how about you? do you still wear stripe? i think it depends on the width of the stripes too, the narrower the stripe, the safer it is.
