Today’s Outfit: Serene Ride with Nissan All New Serena
Umm, what is this? A new car review? Well since I’m admittedly new in this ‘business’, let’s do a Today’s Outfit from my recent journey with Nissan All New Serena. Yes, it’s the new generation of the famous family MPV, Nissan Serena. This new family car for the new year will be launched very soon in January 2013 (ah..that sounds promising for a new year’s resolution).
Last week we had the first chance to do a test drive. It was a 2 days of fun and pampering trip to Bandung (well, of course except for the dreadful traffic jam). In the morning of the first day, we drove from Jakarta via Cikampek-Padalarang highway. And this must be the reason behind the name, it was such a serene ride inside! The comfortable seat, spacious driver and passenger cabin, and the ultra-wide panoramic windows. The sky was so breathtaking to look at that day which was the highlight of my journey.
After having an inspiring organic lunch at Origin resto, we headed right away to Bumi Sangkuriang, clambered through Bandung traffic and a heavy pouring rain, which really was putting it to test, but we moved steadily. The steering visibility wasn’t distracted by the weather, thanks to the wide and low front glass window. Doing some outdoor activities under the drizzling rain, I was grateful for wearing boots. They were truly my savior that day.
In the middle of the misty and breezy Lembang area, we had a really wonderful dinner followed by product presentation by Nissan Indonesia in Maja House, a nice and pleasant restaurant up the hill. After a whole day of fully experiencing all of the physical features in All New Serena, it was where we acknowledged the excellence of this family car. I will post further review and features on Mommies Daily soon, as this one is the perfect type for you, mommies
And by the way, this open front, light weight long coat is my recent love. For the relaxed and light feeling, it was definitely a perfect companion for that rather breezy night.

The following day was such a lovely sunny day, after our beauty rest at the hotel. We only had one destination left to go in Bandung, which was Nanny’s Pavillon, the pancake and pasta expert! Not only they satisfied our appetite with their best menu, but we also had a hands-on practice from the chef on how to make pancake and pasta based on their original recipe.
And this plain red polo shirt was our only option as a ‘uniform’ outfit, which complemented my all-purpose leather boots well. Standing in front of this black Highway Star type of All New Serena, do you think I performed well as a car SPG?
