The idea of doing hair straightening service at the comfort of your own living room sofa, while watching the latest episode of your favourite TV series sounds promising yet terrifying. But if you don’t have the time to go to a hair salon, its an option that you might want to have. I first heard it when our long time FD member, Loucee, bought a package from eBay and decided to did the DIY hair straightening service, and from what I’ve heard she was quite happy with the result. I wasn’t quite sure what product she used but then I heard about Ojon’s new Super Sleek line which is said to be a natural version of a hair straightening system.

The Ojon Super Sleek line will include sulfate-free and ion-rich products, they are:

  1. Smoothing Shampoo, $24 for 8.5 oz
  2. Smoothing Conditioner, $25 for 8.5 oz
  3. Two versions of Hair Straightening Treatment, each $39 for 2 0z. The two products are one for loose to wavy hair and second one for medium to tighter textured hair.

The star ingredient is the proprietary Super Sleek Straightening Complex formulated to match the 5.5 pH balance of hair and skin. As quoted from Geoffrey Hawkins, vice president of research and development for Ojon about the product, “The complex is designed to deliver three straightening actions simultaneously,” he also added that “A gentle reshaping agent relaxes and smooths out the curved structure of hair’s keratin bonds, making them supple and flexible. Then our proprietary blend — including plant keratin derived from wheat, soy and corn proteins and azurite — acts like a liquid flat iron to realign natural keratin bonds and seal in straightness. It also fills in rough spots on the cuticle that can make hair appear frizzy, coarse and unmanageable. Finally, this treatment acts as a conduit for heat transfer from blow dryers and flat irons to instantly loosen curls.”

Sounds promising? Next question would probably be, how long would it last? It should last you for around 30 shampoos! It also only takes about an hour and a half from start to finish to do. It’s free from formaldehyde, lye and cysteine and contains the famous Ojon oil that will be able to penetrate deep within your hair shaft to repair and seal the cuticle.

Next thing we know, people would be heading to Market Plaza to PO for these stuff as it’s easily available from ULTA in the U.S.

Are you going to get one yourself?
