Before you scream in horror, oh yes we definitely can do it! Let me tell you something. I’m a beauty junkie. Big news, no?
At one point in my life I own 60 blushes. That’s right, I didn’t mistakenly put an extra ’0′ there. Apparently, I’m not the only one. In Female Daily, I’ve found kindred spirit in fellow beauty addicts scattered all over Makeup Addict Forum. I don’t feel I’m weird nor different. There were others like me whose hearts sometimes skip a beat seeing a limited edition beauty product and despite the plethora of products that have only been used once or twice, even never on their vanity table, they still want to get their hands on it.
But now, my blushes have gone down to 20. That’s a giant leap for me, considering I used to own 60. So now I’m only owning one third of what I used to have. I’m a reform beauty addict. I know sometimes letting go is so hard to do. But think about it. What would you do with those unreasonable amount of blushes, eyeshadows, lipsticks, eyeliners and who knows what else! When would you would wear them? Never? Yes, we know how hard you fought to get hold on those. But if you haven’t worn them for the last 1 year, what are the chances that you’re going to wear it? It’s time to let go and find your beloved beauty items a nicer home to go to.
Like any addiction program, we have three steps that you can follow to reduce your stash:
Share – if you have any items that you can share – moisturizer, creams, BB Cream, Foundation, Pigment, etc – and you know you won’t need a full size of that product, offer a share to fellow FD-ers. I know they would be interested. I found getting a sample of product satisfy my curiosity about the product and help me not dish my money to buy the full size product. It also lets me know whether this particular product would be a staple or not in my trunk case and whether I need to get a full size.
Swap - I have found many products that I loved because of Swapping. Even though you’re swapping your products with something that you might not consider buying yourself, but it’s also a chance to get rid of the products that you never or hardly used and try something new. Who knows, you or the person you’re swapping with might find a HG item out of it. This one time, I swap one of my beloved Lunasol Creamy Foundation with Erweniati’s RMK Liquid Foundation for Oily Skin. We both love the formula of the foundation because it perfectly suits our skin condition; mine is dry and Erweniati is oily. However, the shade wasn’t really a perfect match. Turned out, we found our new HG foundation and we don’t need to cash out any money to find another foundation that we love. We just give away something that we don’t use anymore. There are many ways to swap, you can do it on our forum, Makeup Alley or even when you have a chat with your fellow beauty addict. Arrange a makeup playdate and bring along the products that you haven’t worn for the last one year and maybe you would find something exciting in your best friend’s stash.
Sell- If you don’t want any new item in your stash, the best way is to sell it in our beloved Market Plaza. It’s filled with eager buyer wanting to find that hard to find items. There’s always a good home awaiting your beloved beauty items.

yup..i am a lipstick junkie. i own 50 something lipstick and lipgloss, yet still cant resist buying another one ( especially after vsiting market plaza forum. ouchhh….)
Makanya emang harus pake kacamata kuda. Cuman sekarang gue jadi nggak terlalu up to date sama new collection. Gawat banget deh padahalkan harus nulis.
Gue juga sekarang blushnya tinggal 1/3 nya mal. Dari 15 ke 5 siihh, tapi tetep 1/3nya kan
. Waktu buang-buangin berat memang, tapi kenyataannya yang tinggal 5 ini juga jarang dipake secara gue paling pake blush juga seminggu sekali. Selain Share, Swap & Sell bisa dikasih ke orang2 deket juga sih, ade, sepupu even tante kita. Seeing their smiles upon receiving the goodies and excitedly pick up the ones that suit them is priceless

Gue juga suka ngasi ke orang terdekat gue. Kaya ke nyokap, sepupu atau temen. Saking deketnya tinggal noleh ke kiri dan liat ke depan doang
Last count, gue punya >20 e/s Milani satuan yang gue simpan buat diri sendiri, sisa jaman jualan dulu. Trus entah ada berapa jar MAC pigment samples yang rapi ditaro di kotak. Padahal sekarang yang dipake tiap hari cuma HIP palette doang. Milanis and pigments have to go…. walaupun sayang karena lucu liatnya warna-warni gitu
Rere, gue juga dulu sayaaaaangggg banget mau ngejual HIP eyeshadow gue soalnya suka inget jerih payah ngumpulinnya dan nge-depot sampai akhirnya cantik jadi satu palet sendiri. Tapi emang bukan yang tiap kali dipake juga ya udah deh. Dijual aja.
BTW gue juga banyak pigment samples yang nggak tersentuh karena males. Tapi sayang juga mau dihibahkan.

Dicoba aja dijual di Market Plaza, kalau memang ada yang lagi nyari pasti ada yang mau beli kok.
hmmm buat gue berat banget kalo harus weed out sampe 2/3 at one go. i recently went through my nail polish collection (again!), dan dari errr more than 200, cuma bisa weed out…. satu! (zoya harmonie, anyone?).. tapi baru2 ini weed out a few eyeshadows and lipsticks buat PRT yg lagi pada belajar dandan, gue pilihin khusus yg cocok buat mereka sekaligus ajarin makenya. gak berat hati ngelepasnya cause i know they’ll be loved. yg susahnya adalah, udah purging, eh ngeliat barang lain yg needs rescuing from the market plaza! *slaps head*

gw juga udah mulai bersih2 lemari dan laci rias. yang paling susah kalo gw sih blush masih tersisa 6, belum ditambah yang PO2 blm datang.
PO is the root of all evil. Barang belum dateng, udah ada yang baru keluar. Belum tau yang dipesen di PO suka apa nggak, eh udah pesen lagi
Tapi emang PO tuh seru banget! Berebutan barang LE.

sebulan lalu udah berhasil selling beberapa items di garage sale yang di-organize sepupu (tepok dada, hahaha)
cuman ya itu, rencana ikut garage sale, pulangnya tetep bawa sesuatu… (padahal udah berdoa komat-kamit supaya nggak besar pasak daripada tiang…)
That’s what I did too during Market Plaza Day. Although cuma kohl eyeliner warna item, but still … kaya nggak punya pencil eyeliner aja. Padahal dirumah udah ada 2. Tapi emang nggak waterproof dan gampang smudge *alesan*
*sigh* this is my guilty pleasure…my make up…
kalo dihitung2,ada about 15 foundation, 30 cheek things (blushes,contouring product,and highlighter), about 30 lip things (lipstick and glosses), more than 30 eyeliners, about 80 nail polish, about 200-ish eyeshadows (kalo palete dihitung per warna,karena ada palete isi 120 e/s)
padahal itu udah dijual sebagian,tapi sama aja kalo aku beli lagi dan lagi…
15 foundations? Wow that’s a lot! Considering foundation itukan paling 1 botol mentok-mentok kalau dipakai tiap hari baru 6 bulan habis dan kalau liquid cepet kadaluarsanya.
Eh tapi itu termasuk powder dan mineral juga nggak? Humm … kayaknya gue punya *sambil ngitung* 6 foundation! Banyak juga yah ternyata.
But 200 eyeshadow! Itu palette dihitung juga nggak? Aduh ini juga belom diitung punya gue *panik*
15 foundationnya 3cream, 3mineral, 2twc, 7liquid foundation..blom termasuk 2 bb cream..kayanya kudu jual creamnya dan share some liquid ke FDers..mengingat ga tau kapan abisnya :tepokjidat:
200nya uda termasuk palete dihitungin per warnanya..hayo mall ada berapa esedo nih…

Welcome to the club. Don’t worry, it gets easier with time. I won’t say it will get better though.
1 shoe box filled with lipsticks/gloss/balms/tints (around 100?); 27 mascaras in an old fish bowl; 8 powder foundations; 15 kinds of body lotion; and perfumes-deodorants, more than any one human should have. LOL! Yeah, i really should spring clean my stuff.. :p
Kayaknya yang perlu di sort out duluan mascara tuh. Karena mascara kalau udah dibuka cuma bisa bertahan 6 bulan sampai 1 tahun dan paling gampang buat iritasi.
Hmm untung gak terlalu make up an g mal,
tp kalo skin care , sunblock ama perfume berattt.. G demen nyoba, dan gampang tergoda. Sekarang lagi nyoba buat ga terlalu ‘gila” So, bebelian buat yang pasti kepake aja, mudah2an bener bisa. Soalnya nyesek itu pas lagi bebenah, kalo diitung dan ngeliat tag pricenya baru pengen getok pala sndiri.. Satu yang skrg g lagi coba terapin, harus abisin satu tube sunblock or skincare dl baru ganti baru. Dan ternyata senangnya minta ampun setelah ngabisin satu produk hihihi

Kalo perfume masih susah *sigh* terakhir ngitung ada 29 belom yg masih bertebaran alias belom dateng
Itu belom dateng doang yah, gimana yang udah tersimpan rapi di lemari lo
BTW gue gak boleh yah nawarin CP parfum ke lo, kalo nggak bahaya!
Hehe itu jg krna pas pindahan byk yg dihibahkan Mal. CP perfume…. Ampun Mal

Gue punya koleksi lengkap blush NARS termasuk cream blushnya (minus Douceur termasuk), Benefit, Stila CC, plus some MAC, Shu Uemura, dan Bobbi Brown. Itu aja tinggal ‘sisanya’ soalnya yang merk lain udah gue bagi2in ke temen2 dan sodara. Collectible items yang rasanya gak mungkin bisa gue lepas. Kalo makeup item yang lain, gue rela bagi2nya… Kayaknya gue butuh pertolongan profesional ya?
Mungkin kita harus bikin perkumpulan buat Makeup Addict gitu yah. Support group biar nggak relapse
