Love ‘em or hate ‘em, you have to admit that the Kardashians are pretty much in world domination right now. And if you are (secretly) loving Keeping Up with The Kardashians, I bet you couldn’t wait for the details on Kim Kardashian’s over-the-top wedding to NBA star Kris Humphries, at a glam private estate in Montecito, California. Well, here they are!
Tardy Ceremony
The ceremony was called for 6 pm, but it got underway half an hour late until finally the Humphries family’s pastor, Joel Johnson, officiated the traditional Christian service at 6.37 pm. And in accordance to the Kardashian’s taste for grandness, the altar was shaped as a gigantic cross, made of Swarovski crystals!
Daddy’s Little Girl
It’s no secret that the Kardashian siblings were very close to their father, the late attorney Robert Kardashian. No wonder Kim gave a special tribute to his father in the wedding program book: I so wish my dad could be here today to walk me down the aisle / But I know in a way he is here, and I feel his loving presence all around me / I love and miss you, dad. What’s even more touching, a heart-shaped piece of fabric was cut from one of her father’s signature Tommy Bahama shirts and sewn into Kim’s dress.
A Monochrome Shindig
Kim & Kris’ high-gloss invitations were in black-and-white color and were decorated with hundreds of jet black hematite crystals and a beautiful series of interlocking Ks.
So, can you guess the wedding’s color theme? Black-and-white, of course. From tents to marquees to the table decor, everything was in black and white, giving a touch of 1950s Old Hollywood feel, which was exactly what Kim wanted.
Guests were also requited to wear black and/or white, with no exception.
The Wedding in Numbers
The Dress(es)
For the ceremony, Kim wore a custom Vera Wang strapless ivory gown that included a full tulle skirt with a basque waist, and hand pieced Chantilly lace on the bodice and the epic train. Her shoes were by Guiseppe Zanotti. The bride wore a soft bun holding her veil in place, which remained off her face for the walk down the aisle. To highlight her princess look, Kim wore a jeweled headpiece with diamonds that dripped on to her forehead.
Meanwhile, the groom sported a white peak lapel tuxedo jacket, black tuxedo pants with white shirt and white bow tie by Ermenegildo Zegna.
For the reception, Kim changed into a seductive ivory mermaid dress with hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué on the bodice, again by Vera Wang.
Later in the evening, Kim rocked a V-neck crepe satin gown with a circle skirt, still by Vera Wang, with her hair pinned back using a diamond clasp.
Do also check out the other dresses: the ivory silk organza gowns that was worn by the gorgeous Kardashian siblings, and the mother-of-the-bride’s bold dress, also by Vera Wang. I have to say, Kris Jenner’s dress (see guests photos above) looked like it tried to outshine Kim’s dress, with the over-the-top bow on the bodice, but hey, it’s a Kardashian affair, of course Momager Kris Jenner wanted to have a bit of the spotlight as well!

Karena dulu sempet dulu nonton E! True Hollywood Story tentang The Kardashians (hihi), kira-kira begini backgroundnya: Kakak-beradik Kardashians adalah anak-anak dari pengacara Robert Kardashian (alm) yang dulu ngetop di jamannya. Salah satu kliennya adalah OJ Simpson. Jadi dari dulu emang udah tajir sih…
Trus si anak tengah, Kim, memang shopaholic dan fashion lover banget. Lama-lama dia jadi fashion stylist untuk beberapa selebritis Hollywood, trus mungkin makanya jadi temenan sama Paris, dll. Dia ‘nyentuh’ Hollywood dari situ.
Insiden-insiden seperti sextape bocor meningkatkan kebekenan mereka (yg bukan karena prestasi juga sih) sampe lama-lama mereka dapet reality show sendiri, dan sampe sebeken ini deh
tjiamik: dia tadinya cman minor sidekicknya paris hilton, trus akhirnya terkenal gara2 sextapenya bocor!! the famewhoring-ball started rolling from there. hebat ya, kalo di sini lu masuk penjara -_-

also, karna KK ini sehari2nya juga udah (ke)tebelan dandan, akhirnya pas wedding day she looks somewhat ordinary altho tetep cantik lah ya -_-. this goes for all the KKs not just the bride.

Hehe, iya semua bridesmaids-nya adalah kakak-adiknya. Dua yang di kanan-nya Kim (Khloe, Kourtney) adalah sodara kandung dari Robert Kardashian, dua yang di kiri-nya Kim (Kendall, Kylie) adalah half-sisters dari bokap tirinya (setelah Robert, nyokapnya nikah lagi sama Bruce Jenner, mantan atlet nasional US). Gitchuuu.
Soal Rose McGowan, ceritanya waktu masih kecil, keluarganya sempet terjebak di lingkungan cult aliran sesat gitu deh, dan doski sempet terancam mengalami sexual abuse dari cult itu, kalo gak salah.

I’m the person who’s sick of the Kardashians, but I have to admit that Kim is gorgeous and has flawless skin. However, I think the headband makes her look like an 80s bride with little tulle veil (remember that 80s brides often wear high, poufy veil with headband?). Among the K and J ladies, I still think that mom Kris is the prettiest one!
i have to say that KK is one of the prettiest ladies in our era IMO. I love her face because it’s just a classical beauty, and eventho her body shape is not skinny, she’s pretty confident for what she is. therefore she’s so hot for me. her make up yet is really seductive. I agree Kardashian has no musical or acting talent, intinya cuman karna tajir dan eksis jadinya ngetop
but seriously, i love KK’s style so much. she’s so beautiful in her wedding! <3

I dunno what to say about the wedding it’s sure costly, but somehow I wonder where all the money goes? I’m so sorry for those diamonds they shine as much as a $10 bling-bling strap. Did Lorraine Schwarz seriously design it? Or has she been under the influence of the Kardashians?
The only Kim’s dress I love is number 3 dress… lovely. I think the wedding is over the top, and not in a good way.

Baru dapat gambaran utuh ttg The Kardashians wkt dirawat di RS bln lalu. Berhari-hari nonton rerun ‘Reality’ Show nya di E! Eh, suami gw malah ikutan demen gara-gara drama yg byk muncul di sana. Dia paling suka dengan Mommy Kris Jenner yg suka ikut campur dan nggak mau kalah ama anak2nya dan Scott, pacar Kourtney yang suka bikin masalah :p

Hmm… I expected more from the wedding that was hailed (by mostly E! and Kardashian enthusiasts) as “the wedding that will give the royal wedding a run for its money”. Tapi dari dress and decor kok biasa aja ya menurutku? Semuanya mahal tapi nggak keliatan mahal. Money cant buy taste I guess. Its not even over the top, its just plain and sort of all over the place. Ah well…
