Dear Fashionese Daily readers,

We’re going to leave the year 2010 behind and welcome 2011. To us, this past 12 months have been a whirlwind of exciting activities and we just can’t let this year end without formally thanking all you for all the support during this wonderful year and share with you what had happened during this year.

As a start we would like to share a review of Fashionese Daily in 2010 (last updated on 29 December 2010).

Fashionese Daily Site/Blog:

• We’ve written 656 blog posts this year, 116 posts more than last year.
• The blog received 5,547 comments and it is of course always nice to read what our readers have to say.
• In average, there are 3,391 characters being written per posts.
• In total, there are 2,224,953 characters in our blog posts.
• To give you more timely update related to Fashion and Beauty, in August 2010 we introduced “Daily Buzz“.
• If you visit Fashionese Daily blog from your mobile device, since December 2010 you will immediately see it in mobile-version.
• There are 99 articles in November 2010.

Female Daily Forum:

• 514,434 new forum posts/replies
• 52,959 forum posts in October 2010
• 12,398 registration requests
• In average, 1,094 forum members logged in everyday
• 1,096 new threads being created

If you happened to come across new members in the forum, don’t forget to welcome them to our lovely home and if you’re one of the new member, get to know each other and introduce yourself in our lounge. Also don’t forget to familiarize yourself with the General Forum Rules/Policy to keep our forum neat and a nice place to interact.

When you read the statistics above that increased a lot since 2009, it’s no surprise that sometimes our forum choke up a bit in serving your request. But fret not, as soon as the increase was detected by our Chief Geek Thomas, some technical alterations have been made so that the forum could perform even better .

Also, don’t forget to check the Events, Contests & Giveaways forum regularly so you won’t miss any of it.

The Daily Media

In June 2010, it’s official that Fashionese Daily along with Mommies Daily, Female Daily andFame n Frame operates under one roof of PT Daily Dinamika Kreasi or as we know it The Daily Media. What is The Daily Media? Click the link.

Although we’re still a young company, but we’re definitely growing to be a bigger and a better one. We have high hope for the 2011. Starting with our editor Deszell or Amalia becoming a full time member of our office in May. In March, we also welcome Amanda as our intern who stayed with us until June. She came all the way from Holland and it was a sad farewell when she had to leave us that day. If you also remember Hanzky’s announcement for Intern/Freelancer position back in June, then in September wewelcomed two new family member Syita and Rizka. September also marked one year anniversary for Vanya as our Marketing & Communications.

We’ve also moved to a new and bigger space in November since our family is evidently growing bigger and hopefully by next year we can have even more So we said good bye to our fuchsia office at Jl Bangka and move closer Kemang Raya. Our new office address is:

Been There, Done That, Wrote About It in 2010

It has been quite a year for Fashionese Daily. We strive to give you more good and useful articles as well as updates to keep you abreast with the latest development in the fashion and beauty industry.

Here are some highlights of what we’ve talked about in 2010:

• January
  We held our first “Munas” where most of the crew were present and we introduced a lot of changes on FD and decided to change our forum name to Female Daily to accommodate our members needs. Thirty FD members got free samples of mascara and night cream from Clinique and Estee Lauder respectively.We were also bedazzled by the stunning dresses at the 2010 Golden Globe red carpet. The annual Kelas Dandan was held at the end of the month, when you see at the pictures of Kelas Dandan we bet that you would be looking forward for the next one!
• February
  Affi and Dunia_Dandan shared the looks they did at Kelas Dandan. We lust at the spring beauty products find that Affi shared. We also asked FD-ers to recommend us their Best of Indonesian Beauty Products. If you’re just building your brushes collection, Deszell’s article on the Basic Brushes for Eyes would come in handy.
• March
  The result of Best of Indonesian Beauty Products were in! If you would like to know FD-ers choice, read it in part one and two. Amanda told us how to correctly measure your bra size. We’ve also asked FD-ers to participate in Live in Chino contest and our Editors also took up the challenge ofSeven Days in Chino. Ligwina Hananto asked us to Stick to Our Budget but it’s kind of hard with the Revlon Matte Collection being so hard to resist and the Coach Bag that looks oh-so-adorable.
• April
  We’ve asked four FD-ers whose undergone Black Period and survived. Not only that we got toknow more about Dunia_Dandan but she also shared with us her BB Creams Review. Looking for a waxing salon? Hanzky written about her visit to Caramello. Lena also shared with us her Sariayu Rimba Sumatra review and Affi showed us the Makeup Trend for Spring/Summer 2010.
• May
  You read the first news on MAC Venomous Villains collection and we can’t sleep ever since that day waiting for the collection to be released. Hanzky and Affi hosted a blogger meet-up with renowned Hair Stylist Jamal Hamadi. We also had another exciting contest, the Metro Fashiong Fling Outfit Contest with so many interesting entries. Also, Linea becomes our destination to search for shoes of good quality and to find our essential shoes.
• June
  The month began with Hanzky’s report on the Great Singapore Sale Shopping Challenge but too bad we’re not too happy with what she had to experienced there. Sherina Munaf named as the First Maybelline NY icon from Indonesia. And finally the sequel to Sex and the City came out in cinemas. Hanzky asked her friend Yoga Prakasa to shared with us a little bit about investment with Reksadana.
• July
  It’s the month of change for us here at FD, Hanzky cut her bangs and Affi pledged herself to the HypnoLangsing teaching. It was also Jakarta’s 483rd birthday and the month of World Cup where we get to drool over the football players’ hot body, errr … I mean fashion. Dunia_Dandan still obsessed with her BB Cream. We’ve also discussed the latest style through Highway of Style and held a Style Rally with Mazda2.
• August
  As the independence day month, we asked prominent people within the fashion and beauty industry to share with us Their Indonesian Treasure. Full report on the Style Rally with Mazda2brings us the excitement of the rally and FD-ers attended the RoC Beautiful at Every Stage event. Hanzky made us questions our judgment before purchasing stuff the 10 Questions Before Buying Anything.
• September
  Deszell finally found her a pair of comfortable shoes after the long search. It’s also the month of Idul Fitri so we take you for a last minute shopping trip. We’ve also shared our new Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist lipstick review. It was also the month where one of the biggest beauty conference was held by Martha Tilaar.
• October
  The FD crew are ready to Mob and been practicing really hard (see the video), by the way did you come to the flash mob event? We’ve also given you the forecast for Spring 2011 colour trend. What was exciting is that finally an Indonesian brand came up with their own BB Cream from Caring Colours. You also have the first peek of the work in progress of our new office in Kemang Raya. Unfortunately, Indonesia was hit by two major disasters this month so we asked our readers to Care About Indonesia and Do Something.
• November
  We were so busy this month with the biggest fashion event happening in Jakarta, that is theJakarta Fashion Week 2010/2011. We finally saw the full range of Lanvin and H&M collaborationthat sold out so faster than you can even say buy! The Clinique Treasure Hunts Contest starts during this month and Rere asked us to Come, Visit Yogya and help the local tourism get back on its feet after the recent tragedy in Mount Merapi.
• December
  You may have heard about our collaboration with Kis FM for a radio programme called Blush on Kis, now we put the weekly topic in writing for you. Before going to any sale this season, you better read this tips first. Our Editors reviewed their latest find, for Affi it was the Maybelline BB Cream and for Deszell it was the Tsukika Skincare range. FD-ers were invited to the MAC Tartan Tale Launch Party and Holiday Gateaway program from Clinique and Estee Lauder. We’ve also introduced our new column called A Week in Style. A shocking news of Carine Roitfeld resign from Vogue Paris finally surfaced.

Now looking at what we’ve achieved in 2010, we’re so looking forward for 2011. We have so many exciting things in the pipeline which we carefully planned to ensure, you will be excited about them too!
