What do you think of the espadrilles? Do you think the hype has passed and it’s time to move on, or do we still have passion for it? Usually espadrilles are made with canvas or cotton fabric upper and the flexible sole are covered with rope or rubber material moulded to look like rope. Most espadrilles come in wedges and because it offers more support than the usual heels so the espadrilles gain many fans because they’re comfortable to wear yet they still look stylish. With many accessories looking toward the utilitarian way on the Resort 2011 collection, you will see many bags made out of canvas material therefore it’s only fitting that the espadrilles would be the perfect companion. The espadrilles look even more varied each season, so I don’t think we’re bored yet. Especially the Tory Burch platform heels that give another take on the espadrilles.

Do you own a pair of espadrilles? Why do you love them and what outfit do you usually pair them with? I always associate the espadrilles with prairie looking dress and a pinafore. I guess looking at the Tory Burch RTW Spring 2011 pictures I was wrong. It’s also looks good with pants :)

  2. I love espadrilles so much I started http://www.espadrillesetc.com 12 years ago – all espadrilles are made in Spain or France and are the real thing. The collection grows every year as I find more beautiful styles. Take a look and let me know what you think.

I love wearing them with capri pants and knee length shorts. I love them, comfy and yet give them the height I need.
