Levi’s Curve ID: Know Your Curves, Find Your Jeans!

We all shared our difficulties in finding the perfect jeans here and of course there is one question running through our minds: is there a solution?
There might be one. Please read on if you find it hard to believe.
So last week I was invited to the launch of Levi’s® new line of custom-fit jeans, called Curve ID. What is Curve ID and how does it help you to find YOUR perfect jeans? Levi’s® Curve ID, utilizes a revolutionary fit system based on shape, not size and was created as a result of studying more than 60,000 body scans and listening to women around the world of all shapes and sizes.
Through this research, Levi’s® designers created a new approach to measuring a woman’s body and identified three distinct body types that account for 80 percent of women’s shapes universally. The three Levi’s® Curve ID fits are based on these universal body types.
“Since we created our first women’s jeans 75 years ago, no one has changed the formula for finding the perfect fit,” said Eden Bunag, Country Manager, Levi’s® Indonesia. Meanwhile Indah Sariva, Product Manager Levi’s® Indonesia said, “Our revolutionary approach looks beyond waist size to address the true curves of a woman’s entire body. We’ve created three custom fits that address a range of body shapes, allowing women to find their perfect fit and ultimately helping them feel confident and sexy in their jeans.”
Those three custom fits are:
Slight Curve – designed to celebrate straight figures
Slight Curve is designed to define a woman’s waist, while accentuating her curves. If jeans usually fit in the hips and thighs but are too tight in the waist, a woman should try the Slight Curve.
Demi Curve – designed to fit even proportions
Demi Curve is designed to flatter a woman’s waist, while smoothing her shape. If jeans usually fit in the waist, but don’t flatter the figure, a woman should try the Demi Curve.
Bold Curve – designed to honor genuine curves
Bold Curve is designed to hug the waist, without gapping or pulling. If jeans usually fit in the hips and thighs, but gap in the back, a woman should try the Bold Curve.
So how would you know which type of fit you should wear? Easy. Just go to any Levi’s® store, and their trained staff will be glad to take your measurements and let you know which Curve ID you belong to.
During the event, we saw some models walked around wearing Curve ID jeans in all sorts of leg shapes and washes, and as much as I admit that the jeans seemed to be fitting them perfectly, I couldn’t help but thinking..well they are models! What about real people with not-so-proportional body? What about real women who may not have their towering heights? What about them? What about me?? *drama queen*
As if hearing my frustration, the MC, Novita Angie, invited six guests to come on stage to be measured. I was one of those people (I swear I didn’t raise my hand but I guess she saw my miserable face hahaha). Six of us were measured and then we were informed of which Curve ID we should get. Afterwards we were ushered to the back of the stage and were asked to try on the jeans! My fit was Demi Curve and I was asked to try on a pair of dark, skinny jeans. I couldn’t believe my eyes but they actually looked good on me! The jeans hugged my curves without making my thighs look like sausage casing 
Not only does it look good, they were also very comfortable, it felt like my second skin. The only problem was the waist felt a little tight, but I’m optimistic that by the end of Ramadhan, it will fit better!
When we came back to the stage, everybody commented on how nice the jeans looked on me which made me want to run to the nearest Levi’s® store and get them! Too bad I couldn’t find any picture of me wearing the jeans from that night, but I will definitely wear them on future Today’s Outfit pictures 
Vanya actually did go to the store a couple of days after the event and tried on several pairs of jeans. She was told to wear Demi Curve and tried on the straight, skinny and boot cut ones and every single pair fits her perfectly! Now if anyone knows me and Vanya, you’ll know that both of us possibly have the hardest times finding jeans that fit our curvy bodies. So of course we are delighted
By the way, all Levi’s® Curve ID are available in different leg shapes (straight, skinny, boot cut, etc), washes (light, medium, dark, black & grey, etc) so you will find the jeans that not only suit your shapes, but your style and personality as well. All models are available from size 24 to size 32.
Okay, now that I’ve told you all about Levi’s® Curve ID, I want to give you a chance to try them yourself. We have 3 vouchers from Levi’s®, each with Rp. 500,000 value and you’ll only need to do the following:
- Write down what you think your Curve ID is (Slight Curve, Demi Curve or Bold Curve) – just take a guess – and which leg shape and wash you want your new jeans to be.
For example: I think I will fit Bold Curve and I want them to be a dark, straight leg! (you don’t have to follow that exact format, be as creative as you can!)
We will select 3 winners using a random generator and make the announcement on Thursday evening, which three lucky participants will get their “Lebaran” present

I want them in dark blue, light wash with straight cut. Finding a perfect jeans is like finding a perfect boyfriend -> not too tight or too loose, just the one that can hugged us well
