If you spot a new cleanser with a glossy black packaging among the white, girly-looking Pond’s products in a supermarket shelf, no, you’re not looking at Pond’s for Men 
(Although men can definitely use it too). You’re most probably looking at Pond’s newest facial foam, POND’S Pure White with activated carbon.
Activated carbon, also called activated charcoal or activated coal is a form of carbon that has been processed to make it extremely porous and thus to have a very large surface area available for adsorption or chemical reactions. Main function of activated carbon is as adsorption material which can absorb a variety of chemical compounds, odor or color. Activated carbon can also serve to control the humidity in the air.
Activated Carbon has proven to be safe because it’s commonly used to clean the air and also widely used in the distillation of drinking water. In medical application, activated carbon is used to treat poisonings and overdoses following oral ingestion.
“Activated Carbon contained in the POND’S Pure White is made from the best charcoal powder which is specifically used for beauty products. Besides removing impurities, it can also work as scrub, ” explained a representative of Unilever Research and Development team, Lestri Fajrinia.
Arief Tjakraamidjaja, POND’S Brand Manager, said that Activated Carbon contained in the POND’S Pure White is proved to be able to absorb and take away all impurities including makeup, down to the smallest pores.
I went to the media launch a few weeks ago where we visited Unilever Skin Factory and had a fun and informative talk show. I brought home with me several tubes of Pond’s Pure White facial foam and gave them to everyone in the office to try (except Hanzky who was still on holiday). Here are what they say about the product:
Amal: Love this cleanser because it’s very foamy, does not cause irritation. I find that it takes off all my makeup quite well without drying my skin. Affi told me that this product also contains humectant, which is a substance that attracts water to the skin, so that can explain why my face feels moist after using this facial wash.
Vanya: I only need to use very little product to cover my whole face . I love the creamy texture! It managed to take off my moisturizer, sunblock, and powder effectively. How do I know this? Because when I used my toner after washing my face, the cotton pad came out clean.
Thomas: (this is his first beauty review and quite possibly the last, so read carefully guys ) It’s non-drying and my face feels clean and fresh after using it. I’m also glad it doesn’t come with a strong and annoying smell. I actually find the subtle scent quite pleasant.

beneran deh. there’s a lot of products out there geared for men, and i bet men will appreciate the info *or the women who shops for the men*
pernah sekali coba facial foam ponds yg ijo but temenku bilang kulit mukaku kaya kulit mati gitu (gw malah gak aware)..jadinya gak pernah pake ponds lagi. jadi kepengen cobain ini soalnya kulit gw oily n acne prone sangat, cuma kok masih ada sabun muka dokter n a big tube of acnes creamy wash :sweat:
bisa bersihin bbc gak ya ponds indang? ato harus pake cleansing oil dulu?
Berhubung nggak pake BB Cream gue kurang tau juga, tp biasanya kl gue pake foundation sih gue bersihin pake cleansing milk/oil dulu baru pake cleanser ini..
aku udh coba… koq agak pedih2 panas gitu ya? apa pakainya terlalu lama? soalnya kalo cuci muka, suka sekalian aku pijat pelan2. hasil sih bersih kinclong, komedo nipis.
Masa pedih2 panas? Di kita enggak sih lis. Mungkin kulit kamu sensitif sama salah satu ingredientnya..
Iya, mgkn agak sensitif kulitku. Wkt pertama kali pk, berasa perih2 gitu. Tp kemarin malam aku coba lagi, ternyata seheboh yg pertama perihnya. Mgkn kulit bisa toleransi jg yah?
Saya pakai ini uda beberapa minggu, sejak pakai ini muka jadi jarang jerawatan biarpun lagi mau datangan bulan hehehee

oooh i actually quite like this cleanser, i’m on my 2nd fullsize tube already. and thats even before i noticed all the hoopla about carbon whatever. it looked nice packaging-wise so i picked it up from the shelves *hahah*.
i have oily skin and this does the trick quite well for the morning wash (kalo malem tetep pake japanese cleansing oil =p). oh but kadang kalo lagi buru2, malem pake ini juga tetep oke kok, my sunscreen & powder foundie comes off. cara ngetesnya sama ama vanya, i use toner afterwards to check on residue =D
Ditto. I think it’s quite effective in cleaning my makeup (though I still use cleansing milk for foundie with more coverage) and seems to work well on my oily skin too. Glad u like it Disti

Menurut Amal sih dia pake cleanser Ponds yg lain agak perih2 tapi yg ini enggak. Semoga cocok ya

kemaren liat ponds item ini ada yang ukuran mini-nya (20 gr) jadi tertarik nyobain…lumayan di mukaku terasa lebih moist (haha..) sebelumnya mukaku kering-kering gak jelas gitu (sedikit ngelupas2)sekarang udah mulai berkurang, n gak perih at all loh..
Sudah mencobanya, dan suka!
Aku juga udah nyoba nih… Di kulit ga kerasa kering tapi belum tau sih udah tambah putih apa belum *ngaca* huehehehe

Siapa tadi yg nanya harganya ya? Aku baru belanja bulanan kemarin n beli Pond’s Pure White Activated Carbon ukuran 100g cuma Rp.18.000,- kok. Murah kan?
Aku udah ngabisin bbrp tube deh kayanya. Satu2nya produk Pond’s yg cocok buat kulitku. Suamiku juga pake. Mukanya jadi bersihan dan gak berminyak. Jerawat jg berkurang.
Ukurannya pun selain yang 100g juga ada yg 40g (pokoknya ukuran sedang), trs sama yg 20g. Yg 20g cukup kecil buat msk make-up bag. Praktis!
Aku pake perawatan dokter, jadi kadang2 kalo lagi bermasalah kulitnya suka ngeletek. Tp cuci muka pake produk ini gpp tuh. Gak perih. Malah biasanya sambil aku gosok pelan2 pake waslap biar kulit matinya lepas. Aku sih ngerasanya kalo abis cuci muka kayanya mukanya lebih cerah aja gitu. Trs bekas jerawat juga lebih cepet ilangnya.

I`ve been using so many expensive products to cure my pimples but none of them work. `Till my cousin told me to try Ponds Pure White because it worked for him. I told him ” but there`s no indication that it can cure pimple!” , then he said ” Just try it for 1 month”. And so I did! After using this product for only two weeks my pimples are dramatically gone! Amazing! I do love this product.
