Burberry Launched Cosmetics Line

Burberry, British design house known for its iconic check plaid and classic style, has finally launched it’s cosmetics line in early July 2010. I just noticed this great news yesterday, since I’ve been avoiding window shopping for beauty items. Not that I don’t like them, but my thought is - if you don’t see then you don’t want

Christopher Bailey, the Chief Creative Officer for Burberry said that Burberry Beauty wants to create a colour palette that is effortlessly elegant. Just like the Burberry trenchcoat that can be worn anywhere and any time. So no more wrong colours, wrong tones and wrong spirit!

Their packaging is so sleek and pretty. It has the Burberry check plaid pattern on the casing as well as raise embossed on the products. It makes you want to stare at the pattern all day, and unwilling to ruin the pattern on the product!

The products cost $24 to $59 and will be sold in Nordstrom (US), Harrods (UK) and Lane Crawford (Hong Kong). So next time someone goes to Hong Kong, you know what you want to get right?

The first product from this line that is on my to-buy-list is the Burberry Sheer Eye Shadow in Plum. The Sheer Eye Shadow itself is available in twenty beautiful shades. This product is said to have silicones, so it can create smooth and flawless application and most importantly I can expect better staying power, right? It also contains micronised satin smooth pigments to ensure that it’s long-lasting. The eyeshadow cost $29 and comes with soft natural hair brush. Check their full line here.
