Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream

It was a nice sunny afternoon. Vanya and I were sitting by the pool in an outdoor restaurant on the top floor of Kemang Icon, an impossibly chic boutique hotel. The wind was blowing softly, we were sipping our drinks, listening to music while soaking in the beautiful sight from Make Up For Ever’s newest launch, Aqua Cream.

Oh yes, did I tell you we were working? Oh how we love our job!

Anyway, we were invited by Make Up For Ever to get to know the latest addition to their Aqua series. As you probably know, MUFE has a few products under its Aqua category, which means that the products are long lasting and waterproof. The most famous one, and also happens to be my favorite, is their pearly waterproof eye liner pencil called Aqua Eyes. Now they are introducing cream eyeshadows, available in 22 striking colors, called Aqua Cream.

Aqua Cream combines the highest-quality pigments with mother of pearl particles to give immediate rich color payoff with a luminous finish in just one application. It’s long-lasting formulation will not crease or smudge under the most extreme conditions and its creamy and elastic texture allows for easy blending. Some of the shades can also be used on cheeks and lips.

I swiped some of the shades on my hands and I could honestly say that the claim is true. Aqua Cream is very pigmented and the payoff is really true to its color. Moreover, these stuff won’t budge even after I rubbed my hand hard. Vanya and I were also stunned to see the demonstration of how waterproof Aqua Cream is during the event. MUFE invited a team of synchronized swimmers from Bandung to perform (which was AWESOME if I may add), all of them having been made up using various shades of Aqua Cream. They swam and danced in and under water for a good 10 minutes, and when they stepped out, the makeup looked fresh without a trace of smudge. Amazing!

Unfortunately, the product won’t be available until June 2010, and there was no sample so I couldn’t try it on my face and didn’t know how well it blends. But what I can tell you, is that there are so many gorgeous shades to choose from, I think you’re gonna have to meditate for several hours to decide which ones you’re gonna get Unless, you have unlimited budget for makeup of course, in that case, I’d suggest you go and grab them all!
