Shu Uemura UV Under Base and Mentholatum Acnes UV Tint are two products that can be used as a sunscreen as well as primer. Acnes UV Tint comes in a lotion formula that is very lightweight and is lightly tinted. I feel like it evens out my skintone slightly although there is a bit of a white cast. However if you use foundation on top of it, the white cast is gone and no, it doesn’t make my foundation appear whiter. The lotion absorbs fairly well on my skin and there is no sticky, slimy residue. In fact my face feels soft and powdery after using it which makes my foundation blend even more easily. The oil control is none to speak of, I still have to blot occasionally throughout the day. To me, the most fantastic thing about this product is the price of course and the fact that it is SPF 30, PA++ which means it protects you from both UVB and UVA rays.
Shu Uemura UV Under Base is a little bit more advanced in formula than the Acnes one. It’s a weightless mousse which sinks in to your skin at a lightning speed! Because of that, you really need to work fast, spreading the mousse evenly on your face before it dries up. It evens out my skin tone, reduces redness and is not drying. I sometimes wear this alone and just dust off some powder on top when I’m in a hurry and my complexion looks nice already. But when I use foundation on top, I just love how it gives me a matte effect and my foundation does stay longer. However, what’s puzzling me is that after going through about half a bottle, the product suddenly turns liquid and no matter how hard I shake it (I almost sprained my arms from shaking too vigorously!) it just won’t come out as mousse anymore! So now my UV Under Base is just sitting in my makeup drawer unused 
I don’t know if I just happen to get a “bad” batch or there was something I did that caused this. It really is too bad because I would love to continue using it as both primer and sun protection, although this product comes in a whopping price of Rp. 525.000

Shu Uemura UV Under Base is available at Shu Uemura retail counter nationwide and retails for Rp. 525.000

I’ve tried Acnes.. the oil control is superb! I don’t blot at all.
The whitish/greyish finish is gone with foundation, but I find it difficult for me to spread foundie on top of this, since it’s too dry.
While it’s perfect for my T-zone, it’s too dry for my U-zone.. so unfortunately I’ve given up Acnes.
Btw, is it really only IDR 11.000? Coz I bought it for IDR 30.000 something at a drugstore.. was I being robbed?

Fi, you’re lucky at least you got to use up at least half a bottle of SU goodness. I love the product and couldn’t agree more with your review, but I only got 1/4 out of it before, being a klutz that I am, I broke the nozzle and there’s absolutely nothing I could do
After letting the bottle sitting on the dresser, I finally gave up and donated the whole lot to the bin

I’ll double check the price just to be sure..
My skin is very oily so that’s why I don’t find the oil control in Acnes UV Tint that great and I don’t find it dry at all! The last time I checked at a drugstore near my house, it’s 11 thousand something. But now you get me doubting myself

Aaah gue pake nih acnes uv tint…setau gue harganya 30ribuan fi… Beli di carrefour. Love it. Ga lengket, spfnya 30, tint walopun ada whitecast timpa loose foundie mac gue, jatohnya natural. Apalagi kalo sesudah acne gue timpa PL silica…wdeuuuh, flawless *lebaysolebay*
nah acnes uv ini mau coba tapi selalu oos di guardian/century deket rumah. wah kalo bisa oil control setengahnya aja dari biora face milk, eke happy deh, walopun harga 30rb-an masi ok nurut gue (secara biore jatuhnya mahal, susah pula dapat di jkt).

Gw jg suka sm si Acnes indang. Esp powdery effectnya, muka berasa mulus n flawless gt. Tp gw jg setuju sama kunakun, kalo di bag wajah macem dagu kadang suka kyk rontok2 dikit gt setelah diolesin padahal gw ga pake obat dokter samsek. Nah lho! However tetep demen pake Acnes apalagi kalo lg jerewi dimana2.

Yes, that’s correct. Sunscreen harus selalu dipake di akhir skincare step kita, baru kemudian pake makeup (foundation, powder, dll)

I like the feeling of this Ance UV tint, i think it makes a good daily make up base, especially with that price tag of 34K… i hope this product lasts for a long time on the market! Maklum, aye masih jerewian neeh…
aku lagi iseng2 liat2 review eh ada review ttg acnes tinted.. Udah 1 tahun pengen tau bagus apa ga. Abis baca review ini aku langsung beli dan aku pake..:P beneran lho enak dan adem… Tapi baunya agak aneh..

I love Acnes UV Tint, but I have to be careful with the silicon thing in the ingredients, kalo ga bersih bisa2 tumbuh jrewi deh
