Mix N’ Match Skin Care, Good or Bad?

mixmatchskincare Just like with outfits, many women tend to mix and match their skin care. It has been quite a long discussion among experts whether mixing and matching your skin care products would be a good thing or bad. With so many skin care products in the market, you somehow can’t help mixing them together. Sunscreen with your moisturizer. Moisturizer with your foundation… and the list continues.

So really, is it okay?

Personally, I prefer not. Just like how we call it, it’s a skin care product which supposed to care for our skin. We don’t know what’s inside the product that we can mix with one another and what ingredients that may react to each other. It may lead to a form of chemical warfare with the skin as the victim. You don’t really want that, do you?

I’ll give you an example for you to think about. I’m sure many of you think that it’s fine to mix moisturizer with your shade of foundie. One application for both products, it saves time … NOT! It seems that it makes sense to mix them together, but actually the two products work differently. While most moisturizers work to penetrate the upper layer of our skin, foundation is supposed to stay on top of the skin. So, mixing the two together could potentially clog our pores especially since the two products could have overlapping ingredients.

It’s best to just layer them together as directed, or buy a safe-proven product of a tinted moisturizer instead. Just don’t mix them together!

itie: intinya kalo skin care di mix kita kan gak tau ingredient akan reaksi dengan apa, jadi mendingan jangan. however, kalo purpose nya untuk make up (ie. mix foundie & moisturizer to lighten up the texture of the foundie) ya fine2 aja as long as you still keep the skin care routine as usual (tetep dipake moisturizernya before the mix foundie)

yang jelas gue pernah nyoba nyampur rose hip oil sama moisturizer gue. hasilnya? terlalu rich buat muka gue, jadi lamaaaa banget nyerap ke kulit. untung malam-malam gak perlu nunggu untuk lenongan. gue rasa sih karena si rose hip oilnya sendiri udah cukup pekat untuk berdiri sendiri.

gue pernah nyampur moisturizer sama foundie, hasilnya gak terlalu bagus di muka. tapi primer + foundie untuk adonan tinted moisturizer = gue suka! ^o^

ini maksudnya di campur secara langsung kh? tapi klo misalnya mix n match dalam arti make produk yg berbeda gmna?

misal buat moisturizer pke produk A, sunblock pke produk B, terus foundie nya pke produk C. gmana mnrut kalian?
