Indonesian Fashion Spot!

Right now, Cleo Fashion Awards, one of Jakarta Fashion Week 2009 events is about to start at the Fashion Promenade, Pacific Place and we – Hanzky and I that is – are sitting on the front row writing this blog post for you! The good people of Cleo magazine are giving Hanzky and me the hottest spot by the runway, complete with a cool Gateway laptop so we can live report this fashion show for you guys! Ain’t it neat? So if you happen to walk by and see two lovely ladies (ahem) sitting in front of a laptop at the Cleo Fashion Award venue, please wave because that’s gotta be us

Anyway, this event is about giving a nod to new and emerging talents in fashion so we’re going to see collections from 8 designers/labels (among them are Nikicio, Kle, Majic, etc) whom you’re definitely going to be hearing about in the future because they truly are the next big things in fashion. So needless to say, we’re very excited! We’re also going to witness awards being given to international retail brands and innovative local fashion brands.

Last year, we missed this event as it was held at the same  time as another fashion show so we make sure it won’t happen again this year, even if we have to skip another show (don’t worry, Lena is inside the fashion tent right at this minute covering for us)
