What does New York, London, Milan, Paris and Jakarta have in common? We all have the highly-regarded fashion event of the year; The Fashion Week. We even have our very own fashion tent, located in Pacific Place.
This year, Jakarta Fashion Week is even bigger than last year. So, make sure you stop by at Pacific Place between today and Friday to witness the highlights of Indonesia’s fashion scene.
Mr Fauzi Bowo, our Governor, inaugurated the event this morning, paraded by rampak bedug traditional dance. Following his speech, ten of the designers gave us a sneak peek of what they will offer us in the following days.

Other agenda for the opening day was the launching of LT PRO, La Tulipe Professional line makeup. Coming on next is a charity gala dinner to support the victims of the West Sumatra earthquake. At the same time, JFW will present a special collaboration between India and Indonesia. A merging of two interesting cultures that have greatly influenced each other.
Like last year, we will happily upload reports and pictures as fast and as comprehensive as possible. Follow us on Twitter too as we always tweet about interesting tidbits we find along the fashion tent.
