You must admit that whether you’re headed off to a cocktail party or a wedding, the little black dress is never a fail-option. It’s always a safe choice for any occasion.
Recently, I was invited to an old friend’s wedding in town. Personally, I feel more comfortable wearing “kebaya” to a wedding, especially Indonesian weddings. Since it was on a short notice, I wasn’t really prepared to go all out with “kebaya” and had to find something wearable to the occasion in my closet. I found this little black satin dress by Zara that I bought a while back, only a few weeks before I found out I was pregnant. By the time my body has gained its new shape, I never had a chance to wear the dress and it had been hanging in the corner of my closet, untouched. I didn’t dare to touch or even try it after I gave birth.
Somehow the dress called me up for the occasion. I took the courage and tried it on. It fits nicely *thank God* and there I was sporting my little black satin dress to the wedding.

love the combination of the yellow belt n leopard print bag. kayaknya bisa jadi baju kantor juga, it doesn’t seem to be too shiny, tinggal tambah jacket…

Shinta, that dress fits you perfectly, from the neckline, the sleeves, the length and the way it hugs your waist and hips. Perfect! I guess when you have a dress that fits perfectly like this, you don’t need a lot of accessories because the dress itself is enough to make you stand out. And yeah, agree with everyone, the yellow belt + leopard bags are lovely touch

lena: thanks, len! iya awalnya gue beli dress ini juga with the thought of wearing it to the office, just throw a cropped jacket or a blazer and it’s good! so it’s versatile.
chint13: haha, mbak.. liat aja tembok di belakang.. thanks ya!
acid_saxifrage: thanks! it’s a vintage purse and $9 shoes and $3 belt.. hehe..
kokoya: thanks dear.
affi: thank you for the compliment. actually when i look at this pic again, i thought it’s quite bland, lacks accessories. i shoulda wear a bangle or something. tapi gak punya fiii.. haha.. i’m not so big on accessories, biasanya pake anting2 ato kalung aja. tapi too much kayaknya kalo buat wedding, jadi ga elegant, so i just have a nice matching pair of diamond earrings & necklace.
jenna: wow, catherine? kasian amat disamain ama gue.. hihi.. thanks ya!
ai: thanks!
