MujiIt has been awhile that I didn’t step inside the Muji Store.  Earlier this month, I went just to browse around and found that they are carrying a Muji Cleansing Oil for Sensitive Skin.  There are a lot of skin care range off the rack that I never noticed before but I was quite intrigued with this Cleansing Oil.  After my dear hubby translated the Japanese instructions in the bottle, I purchased one in a travel bottle (50ml) and could not wait to try it.

The directions to use are just like any other cleansing oil I know.  Until now, I found that cleansing oil has it superiority among other cleansers in terms of its cleansing abilities.  So far I’ve only used Shu Uemura and totally in love and satisfied with it, except for its steep price.  I understand that there are many such products in the market now but I believe the Japanese-made ones are the most popular.  So I had high hopes on the Muji Cleansing Oil for Sensitive Skin, knowing that it’s a Japanese brand.  Of course, I had my doubts too, since MUJI is not exactly known for its skin care products.

I was quite surprised to find that this ‘lil product really DID clean face.  I wore a waterproof mascara, gel eyeliner and heavy eye make-up when I tried the cleansing oil, just to see if it worked.  And it did!  My makeup was all gone, including the mascara and the gel eyeliner, with only 2 pumps.  My skin felt supple, refreshed and clean.  As usual, I didn’t usually use follow the ritual with foaming cleanser and I didn’t need to with this one too.  Just a wipe of toner over my face was enough.  I was quite surprised with the result and very happy with the outcome.  Some beauty forums had rated this cleansing oil as 4.5 out 5.  So it’s that good and I can’t believe I’ve never noticed it before.

And here is the best part.  This product only costs S$5.90 for 50ml and S$13 for 200ml!!  Compared to others that costs five times more, it sure worth my money.  My personal experience says that this cleansing oil is as good as Shu Uemura’s, if not better (in terms of cleansing).  And since this product is for sensitive skin, the ingredients are very gentle and does not give any bad reactions to my face and I’ve been using it everyday.

I sure will pick up the bigger bottle next time I visit the store.

oya, another thing. for the sensitive skin version, make sure to choose the cleansing oil with the grey writing. if the writing in “red”, it means it’s the original version, for normal skin.
