I will admit it: I’m a hopeless wuss when it comes to wearing high heels in the winter. Where I live (Boston, that is), the winter is rather harsh: ‘black ice’, three-day storms, and bitter cold. For the sake of my weak right ankle (and my safety, in general), I opt for low-heel, knee-high booths whenever possible. My ultimate everyday favorite is still the long oh-very-warm Ugg, but it gets tiring to wear the same shoes for months!
It’s been hard for me to find knee-high boots that I like, and at the same time practical for this time of the year. I quickly snatched one of these from GAP store at a recent shopping trip I have with three other fellow FDers who visited me last month. The price tag ain’t making a dent too! Considering Boston already had its first snow, I can’t wait to wear the boots with a pair of skinny jeans!

what do you think of kodiak-style boots? I bought the Spring Step Kodiak boots because I love the way they look (different), but I haven’t had the guts to wear them yet because everyone else is still wearing the ugg-style looser fit boots… I planned for skinny jeans, black puffy vest, scarf, etc, but still — will I look silly or is it possible that I can start a new trend?
