Hot breaking news : Calling all Balmain fans and rocker chic gals! Even though it’s becoming a little bit overrated, this whole Balmain mania hasn’t ceased to surprise. The industry seems to be craving for more from this French fashion label. Since taking over the reign, designer Christophe Decarnin at Balmain has taken the fashion world by storm for its rocker/ biker chic, and gothic glamour appeal. Every fashion darlings seem to be obsessed with Balmain’s accentuated shoulder jackets, its highly coveted ripped jeans, and any accessories covered with studs, spikes, grommets, fringes, tassels and zippers.
To up the ante, Balmain is eyeing the handbag market, which tends to be highly lucrative for any high-end designers. ”For the pre-collections, retailers in Paris are being shown about a half dozen styles, including black leather messenger bags pavéd with crystals or studs, and a fringed, rock ’n’roll number with silver hardware.” I’ve tried to google any of its preview handbag and none seems to be leaked on the internet. Will this handbag collection turn out simply amazing or disastrous? We’ll keep you posted!

I think their handbag line will be a bit hit–another b-bag trend. The clothes are on the right track, the brand is still a European darling, and Hollywood is already turning its head–success is imminent.

It’s been long hell of time I never heard the label BALMAIN pronounced in fashion world…
The old BALMAIN I’ve known was the one on my Dad’s chemise and foot a.k.a shoes. Hope this time, in the hands of DeCarnin, who seemed now eager to re-styling the label by pointing their market on ladies, he’d be able to bring back the Name on the top of the list of prestigeous French designer.
