Who hasn’t heard of L’OCCITANE Immortelle range? Immortelle is also known as the everlasting flower, because the papery flowers retain their form and color when dried. L’OCCITANE has extracted a precious essential oil from the plant, which has anti-free radical and anti-wrinkle properties. Key products from the Immortelle line includes Precious Cream and Very Precious Cream which many people swear by.

The latest addition in this series is Immortelle Precious Protection SPF 20. This day cream contains Organic Immortelle Essential oil which helps to stimulate collagen production and skin microcirculation, boosting cell renewal and protects against free radicals. It also contains Vitamin E and Mineral-based sunscreen.

Mineral-based sunscreens is a combination of three plant-based active ingredients (sunflower oil, ivy extract and rice bran extract) which helps to neutralize the effects of pollution.

I have been using Immortelle Precious Protection SPF 20 for over a month now and so far my skin has responded very well to it. This rich cream is absorbed quickly and doesn’t leave any greasy residue. It took me a while getting used to the scent in this product, as I am more accustomed to non-scented skincare products, but over time I actually find it to be quite pleasant and soothing.

My skin has suffered from irritation that I suspect is caused by the toner I’ve been using. I stopped using the toner and applied Precious Protection right after I washed my face. I noticed that not only this cream seems to “calm” the irritation, but it also helps to diminish the redness and blemishes that my poor skin had.

This is the first Immortelle product I’ve tried and I am very pleased with it. I’m gonna keep using it to see if it delivers anymore good result (some women claim it has helped to reduce the appeareance on their wrinkles) and if it’s enough to make me a believer. I have been thinking of purchasing Immortelle Eye Balm and after this succesful attempt with Immortelle product, I might just do it anyday now!
