CNN debuted an one-hour special documentary of French Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Carine Roitfeld on March 18th, 2009. We would see Roitfeld explaining what French Vogue is all about especially in this global recession time, follow her around New York and Paris fashion weeks, and watch her working on an editorial photo shoot with famous photographer, Patrick Demarchelier. There would also be a scene where her “nemesis”, Anna Wintour of American Vogue, would come up to Roitfeld, and asking her ”Did you get my letter? Speaking of Anna Wintour, she was also featured on a special documentary film, “The September Issue” by RJ Culter, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival early this year. The documentary chronicles Wintour and her team in making the September 2007 issue of Vogue, her relationship with her daughter Bee Shaffer, her late father, and creative director Grace Coddington. Guest appearances include designers Thakoon, Oscar de la Renta, Karl Lagerfeld, Nicolas Ghesquiere, Philip Lim, Stefano Pilati and Isabel Tolado, among others.
