The first thing that came to my mind after seeing this CHANEL perspex briefcase was the clear heat-sealed plastic packaging that covers every electronic gadgets sold at Best Buy or any electronic stores. Karl Lagerfeld has never stopped to impress us with his works. At the recent CHANEL Fall/Winter 09 runway, this see-through Perspex Briefcase was the highlight of the show. Designed for working women, the transparent briefcase comes with slots to hold a purse, lipstick, sunglasses, iPod and other ladies’ stuff. This is definitely not the first time that CHANEL came out with this idea, CHANEL has designed several clear and tinted clear handbags in the past. I couldn’t think of anyone who could pull off this briefcase. It would definitely draw attention, especially from thieves hehe =d But, I can’t deny it’s a piece of art and it would perfectly fit as a great styling prop to any fashion shoot. What do you think, Yay or Nay?

berasa telanjang kalo bawa tas clear begono hehehe. actually a friend of mind gave me a clear bag as a birthday present around two year ago. bukan chanel tentunya tapi same idea lah. clear bag yg mamerin semua isi barang bawaan. i have never used the bag, coz i feel naked, because what i have in the bag actually shows what i am, rite?! hehehehe…..

so nggg what do they think ladies do at work, put on lipstick and play w/ i-pods all they long?? where are the slot for pens, laptop, notebooks, calculator, car keys etc?
clearly this is not designed for WORKING people.

setuju dgn semua yg di sini, kesannya jd pamer isi tas yg elo bawa, kalo rapi dan ringkes siy gpp tp kalo sebaliknya bakal berantakan dan mengundang copetzz
well as we all know, designers always have tons of crazy imaginations which they usually tend to translate into “outrageous works and designs”.. at some point i respect them for that.. but they usually are not practical to your daily life. But i can see this Chanel perspex briefcase displayed in the infamous Chanel Mobile Art exhibition.. that’s the place they could fit in!

hmm, after careful thought, i wonder whether this “briefcase” would actually become one of CHANEL marketing plot? like Gift with Purchase or Purchase with Purchase stuff usually found over the makeup counters across every dept. stores? e.g. if you buy a Chanel black quilted bag, you’ll get the makeup, parfum etc or vice versa.. *hehe too good to be true lol ;d

Am I the only one thinking yay? I’d link to think that it’s because I’m willing to take a fashion risk, but maybe it’s a combination of bravery and foolishness. It’s just beautiful and out there. I honestly believe somebody out there could pull it off. Just because something’s weirdly gorgeous doesn’t mean it should be reserved for a runway or a museum and such.

Dengan syarat kalau si Papi Karl terima rikues kompartemen sesuai kebutuhan per individu. Ky kl gw, bakal mesen yg ada berpuluh2 kompartemen tambahan, bwt pensil, tisu, makeup, laptop, bacaan, dst dst.. hmm.. definitely brings on a lot of ideas…
