Another Indonesian hidden gem discovered! madness is an accessory collective, designed by Ajeng Dewi Swastiari, Bonnie Natasha Arif and Vannie Astecat; three talented Indonesian designers studying at La Salle College Jakarta (_& yes, they’re young, all in their twenties).
Based in Jakarta, madness is infusing our very own culture and heritage into a series of eclectic accessories, from necklaces, head pieces, headbands, to shawls and scarves. Using Indonesian rich materials, traditional textiles, and unique handcraft creativity, madness sends a bold statement through its quirky, unpredictable and innovative accessories.
I admire that madness is not avoiding traditional elements, but instead embracing them without literary screaming “ethnic”.
madness is modern in design, stunningly cutting-edge and filled with playful details. Joining other Indonesian talents into the global fashion scene, madness has been featured on Teen Vogue last November, Gen Art Pulse, refinery29 and several overseas-based online media. If you’re a frequent visitor of Grand Indonesia, you could find madness at Alun-Alun Indonesia. I’m sure a lot of FDers have spotted madness accessories over there!

waktu ke alun2 sama lintje, ragil, n cangkir kita juga sempet liat2 si aksesoris madness ini.. gue naksir sama headpiecenya gitu.. lucu banget.. but quite pricey sih buat gue.. :p
Astecat mungkin singkatan dari namanya, dan panggilannya vanie *gemar memecahkan misteri*
very quirky and creative, not sure i’d be able to wear any of them though…
and i like the model here, just the right attitude and pose so that the accessories are not wearing her!

DYS, sebenernya harganya masih wajar koq. sama aja harganya kayak headpiecesnya urban outfitter yg 35 dollaran, headpiecesnya madness ni sekitar 300 ribuan, and one of a kind pulak (kayaknya dia gak mass produced).. cuma berhubung gw lagi mengencangkan ikat pinggang jd terasa mahal deh
kyknya cocok deh di pake ama VI nya Vera Aby and Ina Thomas

And thats true vannie astecat tuh singkatan..nama panggung critanya biar ga kepanjangan..hehe. Be patient for another collection, kali ini bukan utk alun2 and bukan madness of heritage.hihi. Oh..hmm..soal harga..kita relatif terjangkau kok…kalo tau perjuangannya..wuahh..hehe..yg jelas smua emang handmade dr tangan kita masing2..n hasilnya adalah persembahan dr hati..ciee..haha.
