Indonesian Fashion Spot!

Being a true red lipstick addict, I was of course ecstatic to hear that MAC’s 2008 Holiday collection is named Red, She Said. To be sure a fabulous red lipstick is going to be in it. For the record, I owned last holiday’s Queen’s Sin lipstick and it is one of the best red lipsticks I own.

Anyway, I had a chance to look at and play with the actual products last week and got a gorgeous makeover by none other than our most-loved makeup artist, Darwyn.

As you’ve probably heard, MAC will launch a set of Mineralize Eyeshadow Trio in this collection and they were quite unique.

From top clockwise : Threesome, Persuasive, Word of Mouth, Danger Zone, Outspoken, Inter-view

But of course I’m gonna skip writing about those eyeshadows and go straight to the red lippie! Darwyn put on the Red, She Said lipstick on me and I was like “Hmm..not completely wow’ed” as it doesn’t look like a terribly unique red shade. But then he applied “Love Alert” Dazzleglass on and I almost jumped from my seat. It was hot! But it didn’t stop there. Darwyn then put on another layer of Dazzleglass, this time it was “Date Night” and it was like Christmas had come early and exploded on my lips They were sure winners of this collection, in my opinion. To those of you who haven’t tried Dazzleglass, you should buy one. It’s my favorite MAC gloss of all, the texture and shine are truly incomparable (they contain large pearl particles, that’s why you really get that dazzling reflects.

The famous Beauty Powder Blush also makes an appearance and they come in 2 shimmery shades - Stark Naked (mid-tone mauve with gold pearl) and Enough Said (light bronze with gold pearl). These blushes are way too sheer for my liking but if you like your cheek colors to be really subtle, you’re gonna love them.
