Sorry for not posting the Jakarta Fashion Week coverage in the right order, I think we’re going to rearrange the published date when everything has been published to make it easier to archive. We have about 5 or 6 more posts to go about JFW, it was a 4-day event and jammed packed with so many interesting shows that we want to share with you here.
The second day was the day that APPMI designers got the chance to showcase their designs. APPMI stands for Asosiasi Perancang Pengusaha Mode Indonesia, founded by Poppy Dharsono. APPMI spirit is to bring authentic/cultured Indonesia fashion to a bigger stage, no wonder that most of the clothes are made out of the beautiful materials from our own backyard. The designers also come from across archipelago, making it easier for local talents to be in the limelight.
Pictures shown below are from the rest of designers that haven’t been featured in “Designers & Their Muses” post. We missed Poppy Dharsono’s ‘Kartini’ Line collection, Jazz Pasay ‘Gadis Palembang’, Gregorius Vici’s, Malik Moestaram’s and a tribute to YSL show from Oka Diputra, so too bad we don’t have pictures to share..:(

darling, yang ini kan desainer yg tergabung di APPMI, Seba, Biyan, itu kan tergabung di IPMI, masing2 ada harinya. . Sebastian gunawan ada kok di JFW dan kru FD itu cuma sedikit, gak mungkin lah mereka langsung bikin laporan lengkap dalam 1 minggu, 1 hari aja bisa ada berapa show. .
fyi, byk kok desainer indo yang udah punya nama juga partisipasi di JFW, Seba, Sally Koeswanto, Deden Siswanto, Ali Charisma, dll tp mungkin belum sempet aja crew FD bikin laporannya. . just wait. .
Eddy Betty gak ikut kan kita jg belum tau alasannya, mungkin karena hari minggunya dia jg ada show tunggal sendiri, gak mungkin dong dia kasih bocoran koleksinya. .
dan satu lagi, bikin JFW ini juga udah merupakan jejak sejarah mode baru utk Indo. . pls support and respect it. . and am not part of the committee of JFW fyi.

Is it so important to give a comment to all designers collection??
I guess instead of insulting their collection, better give’ em a big applause for what they did to make Indonesia more colorful on the fashion catwalk.
Everything they did is always for a reason, beside more the less that they are trying to give the best to the audience of mode.
There’s no problem for a little ‘respect’ I think.
