I’m not the kind of gal (not yet a woman) who takes interest in every make-up that is new in store. My usual routine was moisturizer slash sunscreen, concealer and loose powder. So when Make Up Forever HD series were launched, I thought “Okay, let’s see what that’s about.” I didn’t like foundation because they tend to be cakey. Don’t let me start on two-way cake or pressed kind, I only wear it when I have to – to weddings – and I usually don’t like what I see in the mirror after that. A bit crack here and there and deep lines where my ‘fine’ laughing lines are.
So when I got this nifty sample size of Make Up Forever HD Foundation, I was just a bit curious and decided to try it on for a day. It wasn’t even my correct shade, but I tried it on anyway. I noticed that the liquid glided on easily on my skin. When I looked in the mirror on the day light, it’s not obvious, yet it covered my freckles and spider veins also a bit of my shadow underneath the eyes nicely. I used only a very bit of concealer after that. So this was what they’re talking about: The foundation gives medium coverage, yet it’s so lightweight that you hardly can feel it!
I was checking my self in the mirror for a couple times that day, and I was pleasantly surprised. The foundation really hydrates my dry skin, so it didn’t look flaky, even after day-long air conditioner. It also give my skin a bit sheen, just about right without making it look oily. When I reached to get my compact to powder my nose, and I saw them in the mirror, I thought, “Hey, I don’t really need to powder my nose!” Nice.
So I talked my sister about buying me the full sized bottle for my birthday present, and I never looked back. Next thing would be getting the sponge thingie that they recommended for the applicator. Or maybe the colorless loose powder that they said would give a perfect finish to the foundation. I think it’s not too late to give me birthday present. Anyone?

Foundation-nya memang istimewa. Bener2 alus muka jadinya. The problem is.. shade gw (153) blm ada di US dan di Indo (tadinya mau nitip kalo di Indo ada). Gw cuman nyoba sample aja di butik MUFE di NY. Persediaan shadenya yg full size di sana pun masih dikit bgt, kagak lengkap!
Powdernya: jempol! Gw blm pernah liat powder sehalus ini. Butirannya (dust) yg beterbangan menandakan kalo powdernya memang sgt finely milled.

gue juga cinta banget ama foundie ini, tp mbak MUFE kasih gue shade yg salah (i think !), jd muka gue terang banget. gue campur sama studio fix deh
gue pake ini (cuman saat-saat tertentu spt acara malem) dan emang enak banget.. my fave foundation lah..

Gue juga jadi pengen coba deh..ada yang tau nggak harganya di US sama di Jakarta lebih murah dimana?..*barusan ngecheck di sephora.com tapi nggak ada*
kebetulan, gw emang lagi pengen beli foundation.. cuma lagi nyari yg okeh buat kulit kering, pas banget neh kayaknya.. thanks 4 the review..

Sephora memang blm jualan foundienya, baru powdernya aja. Dan hanya Tuhan yg tahu kapan Sephora bakal mulai jualan foundienya.
Satu2nya harapan adalah butik2 MUFE, tapi namanya foundie, susah kalo elo gak dateng sendiri ke tokonya. Apalagi shdenya MUFE ini susah banget nentuin, gak user friendly kayak MAC.
Di Sephora yg botol itu ada kok, tapi cuma ada 4-5 shade. Harganya $41 kalo gak salah. Kalo yg matte foundie sekitar $32.

HD Foundation blm ada di Sephora. Yg lo liat kayaknya Liquid Lift Foundation, harganya memang $41. Yg matte itu juga foundation yg lain lagi, Mat Velvet+, harganya $34.

iya deb, gue baru ngeh setelah kemaren ke sephora lagi. abis liat botolnya mirip sih
kalo mau ngedapetinnya dimana yah?jadi tertarikk..
soalnya aku juga persis orangnya juga ga suka foundation….

Ini foundation, dan bukan foundation jenis ringan. Kalo gak suka foundation, pake tinted moisturizer aja atau cari foundation yg light.
tadi sempet nyoba di konter sogo. emang mulussh bgt muka gw jadinya. pengen nyobain lagi pas pagi, dgn produksi minyak yg slalu produktif ini, n harga yg lumayan mihil, gw hrs bener2 pasti fondi ini gak bakalan bikin muka gw jadi ladang minyak super.
knp brushnya malahan sering lebih mahal drpd foundie nya ya???knp brush2nya muahal2skaleeee…ga sangguuuup….

Coba deh main-main ke forum (www.femaledaily.com) di sana banyak juga lho alternative brush bagus dengan harga bersahabat
