When it comes to mascara, I am hardly a loyalist. As soon as I finish a product I usually move right on to a different one. Or sometimes I am using a particular brand and then a new mascara comes out and I am sidetracked faster than you can say “brand whore”. The reason is simple. There are so many great mascaras out there, why stick with one?
Recently I’ve been using two considerably new mascaras that I quite like. Here are the reviews :
Maybelline Volum’ Express Hypercurl
It isn’t said often enough : Maybelline does great mascaras! This one is no exception. I’ve never tried the original Volume Express (there is one, isn’t there?) but from the name I’m guessing this is supposed to be a volumizing mascara with the added “curling” benefit. Well it does just that. The brush, though a tad big, is easy to control and give me full, luscious lashes with just one coat. Two coats and you’d really get the formula to work its magic. It really does give incredible curl that lasts all day. My only disappointment that the formula smudges a little so I have to constantly check the mirror every few hours which I don’t like. Other than that, I am quite pleased with this product and find myself keep reaching for it.
L’Oreal Volume Shocking Brush Exact
If you read my review on the original L’Oreal Volume Shocking mascara, you’d probably remember that 
even though I kinda like the formula for being able to give me super vampy lashes, I hate the little comb brush and the fact that it practically takes weeks to really clean this product from my lashes! I heard similar complaints from other users (especially on MUA), so I’m assuming this new version of Volume Shocking is the answer from L’Oreal. It still comes with the mascara base which is pretty much the same with the first version. The difference is the horrible little comb is replaced with a great brush that is very easy to control and can really reach the roots of my lashes and coat even the fine ones with no mess at all! You still get the same intense, carbon black formula but thanks to the brush, it does not clump so easily. And just like the original version, this mascara really does last a long time. I did have to use 3 cotton squares to clean it thoroughly but hey, at least it didn’t take 14 days!

gue masih bingung..banyak yg bilang L’oreal bagus dan cocok di mata mereka..kenapa di mata gue enggak??
ada juga yg bilang maybelline bagus?? tapi gue takut nyobanya..takut gak berhasil di mata gue..padahal mata gue gak susah-susah amat

chelinx, mata gue juga sensitif. pas pake maskara maybelline, mata gue cekit2.
so far sih paling cocok ama clinique glossy mascara. bulu mata gak gampang rontok n mata gue gak sakit.
kalo lancome, mata gak sakit, bulu mata rada rontok.

Not all products work for epribodi. Gw gak demen ama 2 maskara yg diripiu Koukla di sini, tapi ya itu, beda2. Orang juga preference-nya pan gak sama, “look” yg ingin dicapai juga lain2 shg membutuhkan maskara yg lain juga.

Koukla, gue sebenernya suka sama Volume Shocking, tapi kalo pake nya ga hati2, tends to clump a lot on me :(. Jadi eke cuma pake kalo ga buru2. Maybe this is the answer to my prayer

Pake nek, tapi yg Volume Shocking versi 0.1 itu bener2 edan formulanya, mungkin mesti pake karbol baru bersih! Sekarang gue sih udah gak pake cleansing oil lagi (mata gue cenderung perih abis pake it, dunno why) tapi yg versi baru ini jauh lebih gampang kok dibersihinnya.

Gak pake nek. Emang bisa buat ngerbersihin maskara ya? Kalo cleansing milk gitu gue kok rada takut make ke mata ya..

Nah iya, di gue jg begitu, emang kalo gak hati2 makenya jadinya clumpy. Tapi brush yg baru ini jauh lebih enak kok bo dipakenya, coba aja…gak usah pake semedi dulu ya nek

thankss Koukla.. kayaknya gw hrs beli maskara deh, slama ini cm make vaseline petroleum jelly utk lashes gue seblm di jepit..:D hehe.. gw jd tertarik beli.. apalg produk drugstore pula.. klop deh

huehe rain, gw jg ga ngerti dandan.. utk sehari2x, gw make petro jelly di bulu mata sbg “mascara” gue
trus tak jepit.. lbh tahan lama drpd make gel mascara.. soalnya kalo make yg warna item or even waterproof gt suka belepotan krn gue suka kucek2 mata kelupaan 
tp jgn diikutin, ini kayaknya gw ngarang2 sendiri siy.. hehe 
*duh ini pasti diketawain ama para maestro makeup di FD

nimbrung ahhh… buat segala makeup mata yg bandel (yup, L’oreal Volume termasuk) bersihinnya pake oil-based eye makeup remover. Gw pilih yang super murah… Virgin Coconut Oil
Diminum gw gak doyan, jadi pake buat bersih2 makeup mata, terus buat moisturizing bibir sebelum tidur.

kl gw bersihin mascara pake baby oil aja tp yg non perfumed, soalnya kl pake yg ada perfumednya ada perihnya kl kena mata

kyara bener tuh bs manjangin bulu mata, waaaah kl bener pengen coba aaah, kebetulan gw pny simpenan vaselin yg super duper guede (brg sisa umroh msh ada), dl sih sengaja beli vaselin sbnrnya bkn untuk gw tp untuk my “miauwww”, gw taro di idungnya mpuusss biar dijilatin sm dia, menghindari “hairball”

wah gw gak cocok tuh sama L’oreal Volume Shocking (original).. bulu mataku kayak tarantula.. bersihinnya susaaah banget.. sampe bulu mataku pada rontok.. maybelline lebih enak n murah pulak(tapi baunya nyengat bgt).. tapi untuk sehari2 pake mavala aja deh.. lebih alami keliatanya..

gw pake l’oreal volume shocking yang pertama, mayan cocok. tapi emang kuas no.2 bentuknya aneh gitu, temen-temen gw yang pinjem maskara gw juga pada syok. meski sama-sama 2-steps, tapi pakenya ngga sesusah maybelline xxl volume + length. yang maybelline klo ngga telaten, bulu mata kita kayak ubanan ada bintik-bintik putihnya
yang volume shocking 2 ini gw udah beli juga, tapi belum dipake nunggu revlon luxurious length gw habis. sebenernya yang revlon ini gw ngga cocok, hasilnya tipiiis banget kayak ngga pake mascara.

wahh.. klo buat gw yg enak tuh channel inmitable… siiphhh dah!! ga cepet kering and ga cepet basah juga… trus gw juga apek maybeline yang define a lashes “(yg botol ijo).. ini udah murah.. ga ngegumpel.. tp dibanding sm chanel.. maybeline agak lama keringnya.. coba deh..

nb : gw jg nyoba loreal yg volume shocking.. ga worth it buat gw.. krn gw ga terlalu pinter2 bgt dandan.. pas gw apply yg putihnya.. trus yg itemnya.. jd nya tebel bgt!! and gw jd usaha bgt buat nutupin yg putihnya… yah mklumlah.. saya juga masih amatir..

sejauh ini masih maybelline yang bagus. gue udah coba lash discovery, terus apa tuh yg wadahnya warna biru muda, sama turbo boost. tapi kekurangannya rada clumpy kl lebih dari satu coat.
revlon 3D: instant clump.
biokos maskaranya lumayan, gk dramatis sih, tapi bagus buat sehari2 dan melentikkan. cuma masih kalah ama maybelline.
merek2 lain gue blm coba

iya nih bener emang ok cuma ngilanginnya PR banget.. dan kalo ga ampe bersih tuh bulu matanya jadi kaku terus bikin matanya jadi sakit x( udh gitu harga loreal disini kayaknya sangat ga harga drugstore brand bgt yaaaa
