The Magic of Baking Soda

Unless you’re a baby, you probably need or maybe have used an exfoliating scrub to remove the dead cells from your skin. Babies’ skin exfoliates naturally everyday, that’s why their skin stay healthy and smooth. Unfortunately, that’s not the case with us, we need a lot of help to get a new production of collagen and to let the new rejuvenated skin to surface. That’s why exfoliation should be a part of our beauty regime.
Exfoliating scrub can be found in just about any skin care brands. Haven’t found the right one for you? Here’s the simplest and cheapest way to do it, a tip from Paula Begoun, author of Don’t go the Cosmetics Counter Without Me, and The Beauy Bible. Add a little bit of baking soda to your skin cleanser, mix it with your fingertips and massage in circles all over your face, and rinse. Or you can cleanse first, and exfoliate afterwards by mixing the baking soda with water. Don’t forget to rinse your face with cold water and don’t overdo it, two times a week is enough. I’ve tried this a few times and it makes me feel silly for spending big bucks on Clinique Exfoliating Scrub!

Excellent article Hanzky, its so true that baking soda is a simple yet multi-purpose product. I found Arm & Hammer baking soda at Carrefour Ratu Plaza. Since I am a heavy smoker I use it regularly to brush my teeth. I also put some in the fridge to keep it free from odors and also put some in the washing machine with white laundry. But I heard there are many more ways to use this ‘magic’ and ‘natural’ product ; )

karena penasaran, i google it down and found some interesting facts….
It can be used in a mixture with sugar (50/50) as a household solution for killing cockroaches
( cocok untuk para ibu rumah tangga yg mengalami masalah dengan kecoak )
It is used as a base in the production of crack cocaine. ( anyone wanna get high ?
)
Freshly cut fruit can be soaked in sodium bicarbonate solution for a short while to prevent yellowing.

wah…good tips!
gw ga pernah tahu sebelumnya.
padahal selama ini gw fanatik banget pake baking soda buat housechores (buat bersihin peralatan dapur yg membandel, buat campuran ngepel, buat bersihin kamar mandi etc)
and my fav brand ya si Arm & Hammer ini (walo kadang2 pake yang koepoe2 jg :D)
kayanya musti dicoba ni buat face cleanser juga.
thanks hanzky…
