Though I was quite disappointed to see the clothes on this year’s Academy Awards red carpet (bo-oring), it was interesting to note that there was one hairstyle that seemed to be favored by many celebrities that night : pony tail!
I never thought that pony tails can be worn for formal events, but I guess you could. And the nicest things about it is it doesn’t even look hard to recreate it yourself at home without the help of a hairstylist. From the way I see it, you can just blowdry your hair, smooth some hair glossing products, tie it in a loose pony tail and you’re ready to go! Or you could use curling irons and hair rollers first to give the pony tail a bit of flirty curls (like Anne Hathaway or Nancy O’Dell did). I like that this style conveys the message that you are not trying too hard. It’s effortless chic!
iyaa.. i noticed this too!!! so effortless but nice yah?? tapi entah kenapa gue kurang suka ama rambutnya si cameron diaz… kayaknya kok bener2 effortless banget tapi gak chic. soalnya kayak dia cuma keluar dari kamar mandi, trus ngiket rambutnya.. dan ga keliatan matched gitu ama her formal dress.. though others, i think looks gorgeous kayak si anne hathaway & jennifer garner.

buat bule ponytail “ngasal” gitu aja udah keliatan bagus. coba kalo gue kondangan rambutnya diiket gitu doang, yang ada gue ditanyain: “langsung dari kantor ya, sampe ngga sempet ke salon?”
kalo di indonesia, mungkin masih berlaku motto berikut ini: “the higher the hair, the closer to God”. Ah-men.

Lucu2 ya pony tail on the red capet ini. Emang kesannya no effort, tapi hasil keseluruhannya bagus.
Dengan dukungan body dan wajah yg cakep, baju2 bagus, make up artist, hair stylist, de el el…., mereka memang terlihat effortless. Sekali lagi : “terlihat”.
