Here We Are Again

First of all, we’d like to extend our apology for the recent down time. It’s been one helluva week and there was an unfortunate turn of event that caused disruption of service recently. For once, we were in the middle of planning and performing our in house maintenance for moving FD to the new server as Thomas has explained here. But then, we received a small surprise email that looks like this from then our hosting company :
“Your site fashionesedaily.com has been causing quite a bit of server load, enough that other people on your shared server are complaining about it. Sadly I had to disable your site to bring the load back to normal.
fashionese 179786 16.06% 418122.80re 0.23% 820.43cp 25.84%
Your site has been consistently over 700cp (processor minutes) for the last couple of days, we try to keep our customers well under 100. If you can please take any steps you can to reduce your cpu usage on the server.”
I don’t know what all those numbers mean but Kudos to all of you FDers for an outstanding accomplishment we should say… 
. On the downside, it gave them the reason to shut down our beloved Fashionese Daily. And from that point on we were essentially kicked out. This was the reason why you kept seeing Forbidden error message on your screen during the past 3 days.
To make long story short, we expedited things. So here we are now, FD is back up and on the mission. We are now running on our own dedicated server off one of the premier co-location facility with direct access to the fastest and robust Internet backbone network. Splendid!
What this means is that we expect hassle free browsing experience with quick load and processing time regardless of your location and load on the server. So, all is well with FD Nation after all …

By the way, we’d like to know how the new server holds up against the old one. Please let us know your response time getting to the site and whether its quicker, slower or the same. Please let us know your location too. Many thanks!

han, aku duluan ya. so far siy masih ada yang nyangkut. terus kalo di klik new reply thread, sudah ada nickname balasan dari yang baru, tapi pas dibuka, gak ada balasannya. baru keliatan kalo kita klik new reply.

Welcome back FD, kita semua udah megap2 ga ada forum hihihihi… So far, yg masih nyangkut sih thread terpanjang di forum, dan attachment nya suka ga ke-load (atau agak lama loading nya). Mungkin karena masih in progress yah?. I’m in US.

hanz….thx for ur effort to make it better and better everyday for FD yah….no wonder u have so many FDers yg loyal to FD hehehe….
mudah2an FD terus berkembang dan menjadi portal fashion indonesia yg terbesar dan terbaik. secara pertumbuhannya juga luar biasa banget.
i’m sure all the FDers will support it very much!

btw, kyknya udah saatnya elo buka space u/ iklan kali, supaya bisa mencover dana hosting n servernya bow. let me know if i can help u in anyway to make the FD better yah say….

Finally, FD is BACK!!! Gile brasa ada yg kurang slama gada FD *cuitcuiwww*. Congrats buat server barunya yaaa Thomas+Hanzky… Oiya, utk thread yg panjang emang masi nyangkut2, tp gpp mgkn entar-entar juga enggak Amin… Salute buat FD!!! VIVA FD deh!

Iya Hanz, gw setuju ama usul Velass, klo dgn komersialisasi FD bisa makin jaya trus bisa nutupin hosting & server gituan *gak ngerti teknis* gw dukung banget dah… *ehem*
gw klo buka hang ya tetep, threadn yg panjang segambreng itu seh…. tapi demen2 aje… trus ada beberapa attachment di TO yg gw gak bisa liat, mungkin masih di sever lama yak?

ohh pantess..sempet mau gelar demo ama kantor gue pas kemaren fd ga bisa dibuka…untungg ga jadi (klo jadi..makin ketauan kerjaan gue makan, ngopi ama baca fd doang :P)..untungnya skrg sudah bisa dibukaa…
Menurut gue han, skrg bener2 krasa jadi lebih cepet apalagi klo buka thread. Thank yuuuuu for team FD “the fantastic four (or five yah?)” yang udah mikirin nasib kita yg klo ga ada fd bisa gantung diri rame2…hehehe. Gue masih di jakarta..sama kaya tje2p..for now…hihi..kali2 ada yg mau ngangkut ke luar nagri ya tjep ya…hihi

lo ngalamin problem yang sama kayak gue kemaren.
lo harus reset password-nya. pas lo login, kan dibilang salah, di situ lo click aja forgot password. lo tinggal ikutin aja step2nya. kalo di e-mail inbox gak ada, lo cek di junk mailnya.
