Everyone in the industry is talking about one of the freshest handbags of Spring 2008, seen on the runways of Marc Jacobs and Dolce & Gabbana: the Bag on Bag _or the “Purse on Purse”, as some people prefer to call them . Are they the new IT bags next Spring?
This ’2 in 1′ bag has an additional little purse attached to the main one. I haven’t seen them in person, but from what I read at the Purse forum, the little one is not detachable unfortunately. Still, I found them brilliant, so you would get two bags for a price of one hehe =) Remember the Louis Vuitton tribute patchwork bag which was previously posted in FD? Both has a similar concept but I found these Marc Jacobs bags are well executed than the LV patchwork. There’s already a polling thread in our forum for the Spring 08 Dolce & Gabbana bags, so I’m posting more the Marc Jacobs ones here.
As we all know, Marc Jacobs seems to name his handbags after his favorite models and these bags are called Serafima after the Russian model, Serafima Vakulenko. These Serafima bags come in yummy bright colors and their shapes remind me of the Kelly bags from Hermès. I was pretty disappointed with Marc Jacobs handbags from past season, especially the Stam quilted bag (to me, quilted bags only belong to Chanel !!!;) even his second line, the Marc by Marc Jacobs has a better collection. Personally, his very first handbag collection is by far, the best and the most innovative of all (his Venetia bag is definitely a keeper!) BUT, I’m starting to fall in LOVE with these Serafimas. Arghhh.. I’d better start saving and feeding more my piggy bank

kalo gue sih kurang suka yah….modelnya agak aneh. gue lebih suka yg simple bag…ini terlalu ‘rame’ dan ‘berat’ utk gue..:)

awal tahun lalu aku dah pernah ketitipan beli tas Dolce and Gabbanna, keren banget, di dalam tas yang agak besar ada clutchbag nya untuk pesta…keren banget… tapi kan ga mungkin make sekali dua kan???? ato bakal trend make sekali dua kali ye???

yg quilted nemplok ke tas yg gede itu agak aneh sih menurut gue…jadi kayak gundukan2 apa gitu. but i like the one with white clutch attached…cute cute cute

mm I don’t like it either.. rasanya lebih pas kalo tasnya nggak dimiring-miringin.. udah gitu lebih dibuat kayak kalo retsleting di luar gitu lho.. buat tempat naro uang kecil, pulpen, tissue apalah gitu..
emang mendingan nggak bisa dilepas sih, biar nggak digondol orang
hahaha…it’s hillarious to read some of the comments here, I totally agree that they totally look like a humongous TUMOR or PARASITE/FUNGUS or whatever anyone could ever think of! hehe… but i kinda like those Marc Jacobs Serafima bags, they’re refreshing, I like them for their quirkiness, the asymmetrical shape of the little purse and probably because not everyone would find them adorable =)
menurut gw unik banget…setuju ama kata Dys: quirky. gw mau banget tuh hehe. ada yang mau ngehadiahin gw? *ngarep*
uh no.. not a big fan. maybe if it’s less obvious or somehow matches the overall feel of the (main) bag, it would look better.
lucu siih…and i like the idea of more compartment…tapi kok kalo secara estetika diliat aneh jugaaa yaaah…

keliatan aneh…..tapi mungkin fungsional banget nih….kebayang kalo lagi naek angkutan umum atau taksi….tinggal sediain duit di bag yang luar…easy to reach tanpa perlu buka2 dompet hehehhe………
Ya, ampuuunnnnnnnn….LUCUUUUUUUUUU…sebetulna ini kan kaya set tas biasa gitu, kaya ada tas besarna trus ada tas kecil untuk koin atau make up..cuman biasana ditaro di dalem and yang ini dLuar..UNIK mnurut gue, and lucuuu…hehehehe..
