The Power of Pink

Do yo know that worldwide, breast cancer is the fifth most common cause of cancer death? A woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every 3 minute! You can read all about it here.

October is the breast cancer awareness month, where women gathers and support each other, where you can go shopping without feeling guilty because the money you spend could save someone’s life. Retailers and various brands, from car makers to instant noodles, and especially those in the beauty industries have created special products in celebration of this pink month. Certain portion of the proceeds will go to the breast cancer research foundation.

Everywhere I look is now pink, people are suddenly wearing pink t-shirt, even my local grocery store now used pink plastic bags instead of the usual green ones. If you don’t plan on buying any special pink products, you can still show your support by wearing something pink, that’s the least you could do to show the people who are suffering or whose mom/sister/grandma/aunt/best friends are suffering or have died in breast cancer.

Lucu2 ya produknya. Sayang di sini Breast Cancer Month kurang kedengeran gaungnya (mungkin kalah sama bulan puasa). Setau gue cuma Estee Lauder brands aja yang dari dulu aktif bikin kampanye2 Breast Cancer di sini. Waktu itu mereka pernah bikin monas disinari lampu pink selama bbrp hari gitu dan denger2 tahun ini Bunderan HI yg pengen dibikin jadi pink (disorot lampu juga maksudnya).

waaahhhh mau semuaaaa… tapi harusnya laptop vaio pink dimasukin jugaaaaa… kan dalam rangka kampanye breast cancer jugaaa… ? hehehee.. itu yg paling gw pengenin. sayang baterenya cuma 2 jam.

gue ada tuh pink ribbon brooch dari ann taylor. lucu deh mini gitu….wkt di seattle…pas breast cancer awareness day gitu, gue pake ngantor…menyematkan bros ini dengan manisnya hehe….ya itung2 juga buat nyumbang….

iya niy breast cancer awareness bener2x penting.. gue jg suka lupa kalo ga ada gembar gembor gini baru inget lagi..bagus nya di sini serentak pd ngeluarin produk2 pinky membuat wanita2 ingat bahaya nya… mudah2an di indonesia, akan dimulai juga..

gue mendukung soal kanker payudara..ingat ipar gue 3 thn berjuang melawan kanker payudara stadium 4,mana obat kemo mahal banget lagi..sekali infus utk kemo minimal 25 juta
