I’m sure some of you have heard about this outrageous bag. Louis Vuitton claimed that this Tribute Patchwork handbag to be the most expensive and exclusive bag, they ever made. There are only 5 available for sale in North America and 24 worldwide. Beyoncé Knowles is said to be one of the first who bought it, the other 4 prefer to remain anonymous.

This bag is handmade at a workshop in France, made up of 14 Louis Vuitton handbags’ pieces, including the Monogram Denim from Spring 2005, the Lady Steamer with Alligator from Fall 2006, the Cuir Tresse from Spring 2007 and the Talentueux Suhali from Spring 2003.

It was said that Marc Jacobs designed the Tribute Patchwork “as a celebration of the history of Louis Vuitton.” With all my respects to Mr. Jacobs whom I personally admire, the idea is absolutely genius but I’m afraid I would never buy this bag, even with all the money in the world. I prefer the previous LV patchwork bag, the Conte de Fées line in collaboration with Julie Verhoeven. With $ 52,500 in hand, I’d rather spend it on a down payment of a nice and cozy condo *in my dreamss ;P or at least, getting every single LV classic collection of bags and trunks.

    Aduuh, kok bisa sih orang suka tas ini. Nggak ada aestheticnya sama sekali. Harganya $100 juga gue gak bakalan beli, let alone $52K. I’m pretty sure, sejarang2nya tas, someone (or two) in Indonesia would already bought it. Liat aja di Bazaar, Tattler or Prestige in a few months, yakin banget pasti ada yang make nih tas. Gilingan yak!

    Dengan uang segitu, gue bisa beli semua tas LV yang gue suka..banyak malah lebih nya…hehehe, two monograms bags, one luggage, one damier, some suhali and epi pieces, the vernis, olympe nimbus, wallet & organizer..tuh kan sisa nya masih lebih dari setengah harga tas ini…:D

    agree wif the others! LV bag-nya ga bagus.. apalagi harganya.. tapi stuju ma mskellybag, kalo gw punya duit sgitu banyak gw pasti beli, for investment gt.. kan limited edition, pasti beberapa thn mendatang bakal lebih mahal harganya, kayak art gt dehh..

    I think it’s fugly!!
    you know even if one is a celebrity doesn’t mean that one has good taste.
    Some people are just blinded by brand and this time, they are blinded BIG time!! and so is Marc Jacobs!!
    I’ve got nothing but high praises for him in the past.

    Barusan tadi abis dari Plaza Semanggi. Gue antri mo bayar di kasir Bread Talk and ohhh my god.. sampe mata gue kaya kelilipan dan bengong liatnya bener gak bener gak.. Tapi bener!!! That’s it! salah satu wanita perempuan Indonesia pake tas ini. She’s so elegant, beautiful wearing this bag. Sayang gak sempet di foto. Setelah itu dia beli donut di J-CO entah berapa lusin pokoknya buanyaaaakkk banget ;)

    The bag is wack. It looks like a bunch of piled up everything thrown together and labeled a masterpiece. People are so ego-driven they buy Bu&lsh!t like this just to feel divided and disconnected, “Yeah, Im the only person with this one of a kind bag”, “Dont nobody else have a bag like this”. Even though the sh!t is a mess they want to wear it because it cost this and they say it that and so and so designed it. Bucking the mess out of them because they know ego-driven people are ignorant enough to make that dumb a$$ purchase. “OOh girl, they only made a limited anount of these kinds of bags, you cant buy this from any store.” When you take the bag apart, it is made and look like every other bag produced in those underground sweat shops. The only thing that really makes it exclusive is the rediculous a$$ price.
