She, at the age of 64, passed away today after battling with brain hemorrhage, as reported by the Daily Telegraph. It’s so sad that we have lost someone like her, someone who was always be a part of the solution of the many problems we have in this world. She pioneered the environmental, human rights and fair trade issues in business. She started eco friendly products and the GO GREEN campaign before it was in fashion to do so. Her life story is truly inspiring, RIP Mrs. Roddick, thank you for giving the world your all.
Now, let’s do a little tribute for her. Let’s all share our favorite body shop products, or the first body shop product we have ever purchased!!.
Everyone was a body shop addict when I was in high school, my friends loved the perfume oil, particularly the white musk. Remember The Body Shop ivory canvas bag with the green Body shop logo on the side that everyone carried bag then? I wonder if they still have that in the store. For now, my favorite product is the Shea Body Butter and the Neroli Jasmin Shower Gel. And the Oceanus EDT scent will be forever in my memory.

apa ya my fav body shop product? hmm.. uda lama siy ga beli.. but i used to love their home fragrance range, yg scented oil ditetesin dan dibakar2 bikin kmr gue dulu di jkt jd wangi, pewangi yg bentuk urn gt utk digantung di mobil *lupa namanya, cool peppermint soothing gel utk kaki, sama dulu jaman sma suka bgt sama clear mascara-nya *walau kurang efek siy

my first buy is : lip butter when i was in junior high, i hardly remember the flavor..
until now, i still love the lip and cheek stain, and continuously wearing TBS lipstick in nude pink.
and of course, my all time favorite will be : the spirit of moonflower..

i can’t remember the first body shop product i purchased, but my all time favourites are: grapeseed glosing serum for my frizzy hair and olive body butter. i always keep the empty containers too and i’ll give them back to the store..

Gue udah ngefans sama body shop sejak SMA, waktu cuma ada 1 toko di Jakarta, di Blok M, deket aldiron (shows my age), dan produk yang pertama kali gue beli eye gelnya yang dinginnnn kalo dipake. I was a die-hard fan of their vanilla line, and kinda disappointed when the product was discontinued. But I still use the olive body butter, spirit of moonflower fragrance and, every once in a while, the rest of vanilla perfume oil that I keep, still half a bottle full (or empty?)
Wah asli kaget dan sedih bgt gue bacanya. She’s one of my heroes, an example that you CAN have a successful business and contribute a lot for your society at the same time. Her work will always inspire me just as it will always inspire other women around the world. Rest in Peace, Anita Roddick…
Produk pertama Body Shop gue adalah perfume oil White Musk (parfum andalan generasi kita ya kayaknya?). I’ve tried many many products ever since then – their lip and cheek tint, highlighter stick, brow shader, segala macem shower gel, body lotion, body spray, lip butter dll. My favorites are their olive body butter and the limited edition holiday-only products like Golden Apple, Cranberry or Vanilla Spice shower gel, body lotion and body butter (I practically wait every Christmas for these goodies!)
Hope she rest in Peace. Nih toko paling wangi di Mall wangi banget, sampe sampe baru turun dari mobil dah kecium bau body shop….khekeheh. Bath and Body Works juga kalah wanginya. Mudah2an tokonya tetep wangi terus walau dah ditinggal empunya.

duh i also can’t remember my first body shop product. probably one of those perfume oil. i used to use body shop for my skin care too. i love them all.. but then i outgrew it. sekarang sih yang gue suka itu kesana buat beli home fragrance nya…

I vividly remember Body Shop’s campaign about beauty, that girls anywhere should not need to be white-skinned, skinny and tall to be considered beautiful.
Sama kaya Koukla, White Musk itu juwara banget jaman dulu. Body Shop was my first line of make up… ya bedaknya, ya lip glossnya, ya body lotionnya… I dont buy them as much as before ’cause lebih cocok sama beberapa brand lain sekarang, but everytime I pass a body shop store, it brings back sweet memories of highschool ^_^

Ahhh jadi inget masa masa SMA semuanya pada make tote bag nya Body Shop. Its been over 10 years tapi Body Shop is one of my favorite store. Dengan menjamurnya toko2 dan produk2 baru, I think BS islegendary and classic in someway. My favorite is also the white musk, mulai dari sabun, lotion, gel, sampe eau de toilette. RIP Ms. Roddick.

Gue gak inget produk pertama dari Body Shop yang gue pake. Tapi gue pernah pake Body butter-nya, lip balm, pewangi mobil (gantungan kayu), sisir-nya, loofah-nya, white musk perfume, firming lotion, body cream (buat bikin mengkilap), hand cream, brush, brow shadow, ah masih banyak kayaknya…
Fave gue sekarang: sisir, brush, dan firming lotion-nya.
Kaget banget waktu buka FD hari ini.. pertama2 begitu liat ada roddick2nya smpt kepikiran andy roddick, but then ga taunya anita roddick.. >.
What a great idea for a tribute!
My first Body Shop product was bought more than 15 years ago during first few years of college. It was a perfumed oil, something-berry, I don’t remember the exact name now, but I do remember the small, rounded bottle with the purple label. I loved it and used it sparringly. It brought a little bit of worldliness to my, then, ordinary life in the big city. Visits to the Shop was also an early introduction to environmental issues. So thanks Anita, for being a pioneer and for making a difference!

My 1st TBS’s product is Oceanus edt, n my all time favorite are Oceanus Series (edt, body mist, lotion, shower gel)
selain itu yg kadang2 dipake skrg: mango butter for body & lip, blush on pink, body lotion scent-me…

produk pertama yg gue beli mungkin lip butter deh, then body spray, loofah, body butter, brush, etc. i hope body shop won’t be affected by her loss, tp malah jadi lebih baik lagi.

My first introduction with bodyshop product is its bubble bath which my mom bought. I forget its name, but it has strawberry scent. And now I have couple of its product, Hemp lipgloss, Oceanus edt, Aloe moisturisers n nite cream which is recommended for all ppl wif sensitive skins like mine!

gw juga baru denger dan ikut sedih juga dengernya. She’s one of those very inspiring woman.
First buy gw apa ya? kayanya parfum (inget jaman smp) tapi ga inget parfum apa.
Favorite gw siy tetep Moonflower! Sampe jadi trademark fragrance gini waktu jaman kuliah (walopun skarang udah jarang pake, still I love the scent of it). Slain itu, face powdernya Body Shop juga (loose ataupun compact) karena kulit muka gw yg sensitif banget jadi entah knapa cuma bisa pake bedak bodyshop ini.

my all time fave fragrance dr TBS ngga jauh2 dari teman2 : White Musk. that’s why produk TBS pertama yg gw beli adalah White Musk perfume stick yg kyk lipgloss itu, jaman dulu banget belinya di PIM, sekarang udah ngga ada yg model spt itu.

gw suka semuanya…especially white musk yg melegenda,dari oil parfume sampe parfume sticknya gw pernah punya,dulu parfume stick harganya 17ribu..hiks..dewberry,ananya,oceanus,sekarang sih pake aqua lily,shea butter,lipbalm..lipsticknya..loofah,foot scrub…*kayanya pake produk TBS semua deh..eh ya..pas ultah kemaren dapet gratisan shea butter scrub…thx mrs.roddick..
