Today is a sad day in the Fashion World as Valentino announced his resignation. The 75 years old designer will leave the company next January. He will do one more ready-to-wear show in October and one Couture show in Paris right before his departure day. The season finale must be very emotional for everyone involved. Oh…The red carpet won’t be the same without Valentino dresses!!
Now the question is, who is going to replace him? I’m sure no one can really replace him, but a lot of people speculate that either Alessandra Caffhinetti, a former Gucci designer or Proenza Schouler will take it over. I’m sure whoever takes his reign will have a hard time doing the job. Imagine the pressure to be compared to Valentino??! Let’s just hope that the new designer will be able to create sophisticate ala old Hollywood glamor dresses and still maintain the aesthetic design that Valentino is famous for.

He’s my fave designer.. his pieces are classic and elegant.. I have one Valentino’s dress that I bought years ago and it still looks stunning everytime i wear it.. The cutting is really great and fit my body perfectly.. surely gonna miss him..
