The 2nd Shopping Land Bazaar and Garage Sale next weekend. The timing is just perfect for those who need some last minute shopping for Idul Fitri…and also to kill time (or as known as ngabuburit) before you break your fast at one of those Kemang famous eating establishment. All of your favorite brands can be found in there, who knows you might find that Zara dress or the Mango blazer that you missed during the sale season!!.

Can’t believe I’m using a line from Michael Learns To Rock for this post, but heck I’m that excited about this product!

The skin around my eyes are super oily, even more so than the rest of my face. I love experimenting with eyecolors but sadly the products don’t usually last long on my lids and I only use powder eyeshadows (cream formula will just turn very ugly on me). I’ve tried using MAC Prep + Prime Eyes which claims to help eyeshadows last longer, but it creases even before I put on any eyeshadow! So while it is now getting easier and easier to find mascara and eyeliners in formula that will stay on me, the so-called “perfect” formula for eyeshadows remain elusive.

Until now!

I have finally got my hands on MAC Paint Pots - the newest addition to their eyeshadow category and a new generation their popular formula, MAC Paint. It contains carnuba butter and thixcin wax which gives it a creamy texture yet unlike most cream eyeshadows this formula lasts for hours! It is also blendable - I mixed it with a regular powder eyeshadow - and it creates a brilliant vivid shade! The first time I put this on - without any primer underneath - I was so happy to see that when I came home that day it did not crease at all. Almost 8 hours people! That beats everything I have ever ever tried!

Paint Pots come in 12 gorgeous shades - my favorites are Delft (deep teal with gold pearl), Rubenesque (frosten golden peach with gold and pink pearl) and Greenstroke (frosted mint green with gold pearl). Oh and I think this has also been mentioned in our forum, that one of these Paint Pots called Painterly can also be used as an eyeshadow primer. Painterly is a nude beige with no pearl so it is perfect to be used underneath other Paint Pots or powder eyeshadows. I have tried it myself and I have to admit, this is a waaay better formula for a primer than the real Prep + Prime. Loves it!!

Several high end luxury fashion brands are going beyond their comfort zones, exploring new business territories by designing several lines in technology and transportation, as reported WWD earlier this year.

We have noticed high end labels’ latest venture in signature mobile phones. Armani joined forces with Samsung to design a luxurious LCD TV (scheduled to launch on January 2008) and a mobile phone. The phone was recently revealed during Armani Spring/Summer 2008 runway show in Milan, on September 24th. The Armani-Samsung phone would be the size of a credit card and 10.5 millimeters thick. Quoting from Engadget mobile, it would be priced at €400 (about $557), with several features: tri-band 900/1800/1900 GSM, 3 megapixel camera, 2.6-inch 262K color, QVGA touchscreen LCD, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support, microSD expansion, full Internet browser, and support for H.263, AAC/MP3/WMA audio and MPEG-4 video.

Ahh, they are finally filming the movie right now in New York!! I’m so ashamed at how happy these pictures make me. It’s the moment I’ve been waiting for…seeing them back together again! Dear all, we have been working on getting the new FD forum up and running during the past few days. The FD forum is now back online despite some clutter here and there. We will continue to reorganize things as we go. Please bear with us during this transition. When we initially created the forum, we did not anticipate to have this many members and active readers in such a short period of time. To our amusement, we’ve had over 600 registered members and over 25.000 posts in about 4 months. Hats off to all of you!! With that said, we realized the need to migrate the Forum to a more robust and scalable platform that can accommodate future growth. The new forum should have more options and features for the members as well as for the administrators and moderators to keep things intact. I realized that all of us hate change as we all felt comfortable with the old forum, that’s why we tried to mimic the old forum look and feel as close as possible albeit the new functions and control. It’s been a seamless migration so far and I’m glad we were able to hit the ground running with the new forum.

There are some minor issues that we are currently working on. We just realized that all Private Messages was not transferred over to the new platform. I realized many of you have important information stored in your forum inbox. To resolve this issue, we will enable the old forum in a read-only mode. That way, you may login and retrieve any information that you need.

On a side note, we’d like to introduce our newest Forum moderator. We’d like to thank Debbie (Dunia Dandan) and Slesta to voluntarily moderate the forum. Debbie will moderate the Absolute Grooming and Beauty School, while Slesta will moderate the Yuppies Club. Please give them a little round of applause
