I’m sure some of you have read it a while ago.. Miuccia Prada has designed the costumes of Appleseed: Ex Machina, a sequel to 2004’s Appleseed, a futuristic Japanese 3D animation movie, which is scheduled to premiere in October this year in Japan, followed by other countries. Two costumes were designed for heroine-warrior Deunan Knute.
The designer has accepted to do the costumes because she was inspired by the first movie. “Watching the previous ‘Appleseed,’ I thought that the expression of contrast in man and machine, violence and love was wonderful,” the designer said at a press conference for the movie in Tokyo, Japan. “I designed something contemporary that matches the movie’s feelings,” added Miuccia. WWD has reported that the movie appears to be connected to her Fall 2006 “Metropolitan Armor” collection. Meanwhile according to ELLE.com, it is more related to her Fall 2007 collection. I really can’t wait to view her ‘virtual’ designs in that animated movie. I think it’s absolutely brilliant to implement fashion into animation or visual arts. Having those two elements syncronized together, it totally shows how fashion has been moving forward to a new playground.

I remember telling everyone how addicted I am to this online fashion magazine; HINT. It has a great fashion feature, in which they take fashion editorials to the next level by combining photography, fashion styling, and multimedia (graphic, flash, music, 3D, animation). It’s basically a collaboration of several creative talents from various fields in creating innovative fashion stories.
Being a visual person myself, their fashion pages have given me a different virtual experience, unlike the traditional ones printed in fashion magazines. It’s interactive, more stimulating and not static, overall it’s visually refreshing. I strongly believe that’s how fashion editorials should be heading in the future. Actually, it would be an ultimate dream if one day Fashionese Daily would share a similar vision by inviting young creative Indonesians to showcase their endless talents to the fashion crowd.

Speaking of virtual fashion, The Sims 2 has recently announced, “The Sims 2 H&M® Fashion Runway”, ‘Where Fashion Design and the Virtual World meet!‘ If you’re a big fan of The Sims *which I’m not unfortunately* and Fashion, this is something you couldn’t miss. It would allow you to create and submit custom outfits in the latest H&M® clothing collections. Then showcase your design creation on the virtual catwalk which will be voted online and one of the top designs submitted will be manufactured for sale in H&M stores worldwide! Impressive! You don’t even have to attend a fashion design school to create your own line..crazy it may sound but ‘nothing is virtually impossible nowadays.’

Ahhh…senang ada designer yang mulai masuk ke area animasi…
Sebetulna ga perlu designer terkenal tapi baju” di animasi itu banyak yang keren” lho, dan gue banyak terinspirasi dari sana. Since, I like Japanese anime n manga.
Ada yang udah pernah baca Manga Gokinjo Monogatari? Atau manga/anime Paradise Kiss? Baju”na lucuuuu…sekaliii…and kereeennnnn…Pengarang’na bener” pintar bikin kostum’na…
Or, untuk yang cross ke animasi juga bisa cek ke NANA Anime, baju”na banyak yang dari VIVIENNE WESTWOOD…Gara” baca ini, gue jadi sering hunting VIVIENNE…Hahahaha.. :D:D
Siapa di balik sMua manga/anime ini? YAZAWA AI, coba google aja kalau mau liat kaRya”na…hehehe… ^________^

wahh gue uda lama bgt ga ikutin manga lagi.. dulu, manga yg gw baca cuma karangan nya WAKI YAMATO *ada yg suka jg gakk???…. krn gw suka bgt cerita2 yg dia tulis, kaya baca buku sejarah tp dgn gambar ..dan cross cultural antara asia dgn bangsa lain ..kalo ga salah judul2nya spt LADY MITSOUKO, MISS MODERN, NY KOMACHI, YOKOHAMA, ditambah gbr karakter2nya ga cewe or cowo keren2 ..kutilang smua.. kurus, tinggi, langsing hehe .P trus gw inget suka bgt ama manga ROSE OF VERSAILLES ga tau siapa yg ngarang …
jd penasaran dgn NANA Anime itu.. itu judulnya ? wahh keren bgt kalo eman baju2nya dari westwood.. apa emang kolaborasi? wah seru jg.. trus elo hunting westwood-nya dimana?

I’m a big fan of The Sims! Dan dari dulu gue memang sering mengeluh karena minimnya pilihan baju yg keren2 untuk para Sims yg gue mainkan, heheheh, I sure won’t miss the H&M edition!

Okky : wah suka waki yamato jg yah.. hehe.. jd inget dulu kalo midterm rencana belajar bareng2x yg ada malah baca manga semaleman ;P, gw uda google itu NANA, emang pengarang nya fans berat vivienne westwood yah sptnya.. keren jg tuh, jd pingin baca ! sptnya collectible items tuh ya…kayaknya di ebay paling ada jg gak?
