I ordered this Patrick Robinson Linen vest from target go international collection. The vest trend has been making a comeback since last fall and it still carries over to this year. I like the idea of wearing a vast to spice up an outfit, you can just throw one over a white tee for a more tailoring look. Wearing a feminine blouse underneath helps to balance the masculine look of a vest, or you can wear boat neck top to show some skin on your shoulder. Some people layered it over a tank top and that works too. Too bad I haven’t found the one that I really like, most of them are too masculine for my taste.
Anyway, this Patrick Robinson vest has a feminine charm since it’s cropped and can be tied in front and has that gathered detail at the neckline. The linen material gives a slouchy and less formal look. Unfortunately I ordered a size too big, I hope they still have my size in the store so I can exchange it.
So, what do you think? Do you like vest? If you do, make sure you don’t wear a black one over a button down shirt when you go to the Chinese all you can eat buffet. You don’t want people asking you to refill their drinks since they think you are one of the waitresses…:D

I’ve been wearing vest since last year, dan smuanya gua dapet dari nyokap gua.. lungsuran doi dari taun 90an dimana vest lagi trend banget.. mulai dari yg bahannya jeans, rajutan, macem2 dehh.
pas pertama gua make ke kampus, qo kayaknya orang2 nglyad gua dgn tatapan aneh. mungkin kayak yg pernah dibahas di post ‘fashionable vs stylish’ ntu yah, orang2 kadang ga bisa nerima ketika ada orang yg gayanya out of the latest trend. gua sempet ga pd makenya. akhirnya gua cuma make yg rajutan aja. tapi ternyata, vest is so hot right now. di kampus banyaaaaak bgt yg make, and I don’t think I’m gonna wear it again cuz it’s everywhere.
tapi jujur, gua tergoda juga buat beli vest yg modelnya kayak di gambar itu. trutama yg warna abu2.. hehe.
Gue dulu juga suka banget pake vest waktu pertengahan tahun 90-an, gue baru2 lulus sma kayaknya. Tapi nggak ada yg gue simpen sih vest2 itu karena gue gak mikir bahwa akan model lagi (lagian mungkin juga sekarang udah kekecilan, hahaha).
Sebelum lo nulis postingan ini gue emang lagi kepikiran beli vest lagi, because you’re right, it’s the quickest way to update your look. Belum nemu nih yg sreg, gue pengennya yg bahan dan modelnya gak terlalu ‘office-y’ gitu dan nggak terlalu cropped juga secara perut gue sama sekalu gak flat
Modjo: iya gue juga lagi cari yang bahannya sweater (yg tipis tapi) dan neckline nya rendah, tapi belom nemu2..
Cheyqua: Wah senengnya barang nyokap jaman dulu masih ada, nyokap gue nggak suka nyimpen barang orangnya, jadi nggak ada yang tersisa..huhu..
Koukla: Bukannya kalo perutnya nggak flat mending beli yang cropped ya? soalnya kalo yang nggak cropped kan nanti nggak bisa di kancingin..hihi..makanya itu gue beli yang cropped..:D
Hmm.. I saw people walk around with vest time to times.. Some of them look chic and fancy. I also spotted some of my colleagues wearing it, and honestly, it looks quite decent and professional.
However, I never tempted to even try one in the shop. I see no elegance in it.
