Kayanya akhir akhir ini popularitas celana (blue) jeans lagi menurun drastis. Soalnya ada banyak alternatif lain yang bisa di pake, dari mulai legging/tights, wide-pants, grey/black jeans, belum lagi segala bentuk dress dan sekarang ini yang lagi heboh..jeans dengan segala macam warna. Persis seperti akhir tahun 80/awal 90-an. I remember I used to have a pair of red jeans, it was tappered, and really ugly. Of course, I didn’t think it was ugly back then..:D.
So, it’s obvious that I will not revisit this trend again. I know they seem kind of fun and playful..but..I think I’ll pass..:D. I don’t want my hips to be the focus. Besides, they are just hard to mix and match. I mean, what are you going to wear with yellow jeans? Probably white top?..and what else? and how many times do you want to be seen wearing them?
So, how do you feel about this trend? I think it’s either you love them or you hate them..there’s no gray area. If you do love them though, do yourself a favor, just buy the cheap one because you’ll only wear them probably for 5 times at the max..:D

I can carry it off with my arse… but I won’t jump on the bandwagon and chuck away all my blue/indigo jeans. Hell no, I’d rather buy a pair of fire-red drainpipe denims. With the red one, at least I’ve got things that can work with it

Mukuge: I think blouse with patterna (i.e: flowery) is a good choice to counter the boldness of the pants. and yes i agree, buy the color that we have things to work with instead of buying the whole new outfit just so we can wear these colored pants.

hi.. just found ur blog’s link in wdytha blog. i love it! about the jeans, i have 1 skinny grey jeans from republic that i adore, and only wear when i feel skinny enough. my other ones are all shades of blue. aku pernah punya skinny jeans warna merah (fire red, no less) ama pink fuchsia waktu itu lagi ngetren2nya (early 90s, i was about 10, hahaha!!). kalo sekarang ga mau lagi ah. sama kayak vanya, kalo liat foto pake jeans itu aku langsung begidik..
my last and only purchase of technicolor tight pants was 3 or 4 years ago, due to the after-break-up impulsive shopping. It was a bright red sass and bide skinnies!I wore it only once, and swore that I won’t wear it anymore when my friend told me that I looked like Meg White of The White Stripes, in those pants. And now due to the popularity of this local band: The Upstairs -their signature style includes the neon bright (in every color possible) skinny pants- If you go to high school pensi in jakarta, you will see that it’s swarmed with hundred of kids wearing those kinda pants!
…and if you (dare) wore the similar looking pants, undoubtly you’d be mistaken as one of ‘the modern darlings’ -the name of the upstairs’ groupies-
As for me, red pants aside, I will loyally stick to the basic colours.

ho ho ho…i’m the most laziest writer in the world deh kyknya. gue sbnrnya bukan contributor, tp krn dulu sih pengennya juga bisa menyumbang tulisan buat hani yah jadinya ikutan, tapi maap sekali nih waktuku sangan limited sekali buat bisa nulis2 seperti hanzky or koukla. maybe once in a while yaaa….*jadi ndak enak nih ditanyain hehehehe….* gue cuma aktipnya ninggalin komen :p

well..um..for some reason i do like colored skinny pants and colored tights…it makes me feels young and happy… but i’d prefer the red or navy blue one not yellow or green or the pink…for me fashion is about wearing things that not only looks good on you but also can make you feel happy and comfy enough when you’re wearing it…
