Kenzo Amour

I have had my ‘hits and misses’ experience with Kenzo perfumes. I liked L’eau Par Kenzo but not too crazy about Kenzo Flower. But when I saw the ad for Kenzo Amour a few months ago, I can’t help but lusting over the bottle. So chic!
The bottle was designed by Karim Rashid, who also designed Kenzo Ryoko packaging and Kenzo Summer bottle. It comes in 3 colors, the orange one is 100 ml, the white 50 ml and the pretty fuschia one is 30 ml.
The notes in Kenzo Amour are cherry blossom, white tea, frangipani, heliotrope, tanaka, wood, incense, vanilla and musk.
When I first sprayed it on, I could definitely smell cherry blossom and white tea before it settled into a creamy vanilla and musk scent. Some people claimed they could actually smell ‘steamed rice’ in this perfume but I haven’t got that at all. I mean, I eat steamed rice all my life, I should know, right?
Anyway, I love the drydown of Kenzo Amour. It’s sweet (but not overly sweet), comforting as well as quietly sexy. It’s definitely a perfume for those of you who don’t like complex scents and something you could actually wear everyday.
And I just can’t stop admiring the cute bottle!

“steamed rice” smell? hahahaha..sorry cant help

My signature scent is the flower by kenzo. It’s light and fresh and last all day long.
I LOVE the black Kenzo Pour Homme (Kenzo daun ya? kalo nggak salah)..the smell makes my heart flutter..=). I think Kenzo, along with Burberry and Bulgari make the best perfumes.
Mita, aneh banget ya parfum kok ada bau steamed rice-nya? hahaha..btw after a closer look at the packaging, I found that it’s actually not steamed rice but rice steam (beda2 tipis sih). I’m wearing it again today and when I did the ‘sniff and drag’ (that is when I sniff my wrist and drag it to the left and right) I could actually smell the very subtle rice steam in this and it’s actually very nice!

Yes, Kenzo Flower has many fans. I wasn’t too into it when I first tried it but then I wasn’t too into anything floral back then and I think my taste had changed a little bit so I may be giving it one more try!

I can’t remember whether I’ve tried Kenzo Black Pour Homme or not..I will definitely do that the next time I’m at the Kenzo counter. Does the smell make your heart flutter because you associate it with someone special? *wink wink* Hahahahah
Hmm jadi pengen nyoba juga..udah berkali2 nemu di counter perfume ..love the packaging ..tapi tetep aj males nyoba nya..soalnya masi pake yang pour homme..
jadi sebenernya 3 warna itu hanya karena sizenya ya, tapi aroma-nya sama semua?

i’m not a fan of kenzo l’amour, awalnya beli karena tertarik dengan packagingnya. ternyata setelah dipake, it reminds me of the smell of baygon or mosquito repellent… don’t smell any cherry blossom at all, overall it’d make a great display on my dressing table
