I am addicted to a multi-use makeup products that can brighten up my complexion. Be it in the form of powder, cream, lotion, gel – I always can’t wait to get my hands on them especially when I read good reviews about them in makeup alley or some of my favorite beauty blogs.
One of my latest finds is this beautiful compact powder from Clinique called
Fresh Bloom All Over Colour. It is very pretty to look at and has a tiny shimmer to give skin the luminous glow we’re all after. The shade I have is called
Plum Poppy – I sweep my blush brush over the entire surface and dust it on the apple of my cheeks. The effect is stunningly fresh and pretty. You can also use the lightest color all over your face to get that beautiful, radiant complexion. I tried using the darkest shade as an eyeshadow but it turns out brighter on my lids and made me look like I’ve been punched. So yeah, I’m just gonna use it as a blush instead.
Unfortunately, this pretty thing is not sold in Indonesia. A dear friend of mine got it from overseas for me. It was initially offered as one of the limited edition items from Clinique’s Fresh Bloom collections, however when I checked out their website today, it seems like that they have put this All Over Colour as one their permanent products. So let’s just hope that it means we will soon be able to purchase it in Jakarta!
Mbak Editor, sebenernya gimana sich cara nya pake blush yang bener? Kalo di majalah” kan katanya kita harus sambil senyum gitu trus di sapu di bagian tulang pipi yang paling menonjol..tapi jadi nya aneh bgt, dari jauh kayak di pipi ada 2 bola pink gitu. Jadi blush ku ga pernah di pake deh….

emang agak tricky ya pake blush? do we really have to tap/shake the brush before we dust it on the cheek?

Untuk pake blush yg bener, umumnya sih ada dua cara :
1. On the apple of your cheeks for a fresh and ‘young’ look. Caranya boleh sambil senyum, trus aplikasikan blush di bagian pipi kita yang membulat TAPI jangan banyak2 blushnya. Sedikit aja, kalo kurang baru ditambahin dikit2. Terus jangan lupa untuk di-blend ke arah luar (ke arah telinga) supaya nggak keliatan seperti “bola bola pink di pipi”. Hehehe
2. Di bawah tulang pipi kita, ini biasanya untuk menghasilkan efek yang lebih ‘contoured’ (maaf ya bahasa indonesia campur2 bhs inggris). Biasanya yg dipake warna2 agak kecoklatan, kayak taupe, mocha, dll. Caranya ya tinggal dipake aja di bawah tulang pipi dan di-blend ke arah telinga. Banyak orang yg suka pake warna coklat tua untuk bagian pipi yang ini, katanya sih untuk ‘shading’ supaya muka keliatan tirus. I personally don’t like that because it looks way too harsh, unnatural and old fashioned. But it’s all about preference, right?
Hanzky, biasanya di-tap brushnya untuk menghindari ngambil produk kebanyakan sih. Pake feeling juga kali ya, karena kan ada blusher yang pigment warnanya pekat banget, jadi diolesin pake brush dikit aja udah ‘ngejreng’ banget warnanya. Tapi ada juga yang agak sheer, jadi agak banyak gpp. Amannya sih dikit-dikit dulu supaya gak repot ngapusnya kalo kebanyakan….
Thank u ya Koukla, kayaknya harus rajin” nyoba biar hasilnya sempurna nih. Biasa nya kalo pas nyoba di kamar keliatannya bagus” aja tapi pas di mobil WAKWAAWW baru deh bola bola pink nya nongol…hehehe.
Gue pribadi, kalo nge test blush on ketebelan or gak, adalah dengan cara memalingkan muka dari kaca sebentar untuk ngeliat hal lain, trus balik lagi liat ke kaca.
Biasanya saat ngeliat yang ke2 kali, kita baru ngeh ketebelan or gak.
(PS : yang penting pencahayaan di deket kaca juga harus terang sempurna yah).
