i fell in love with this store when i first went there in chicago, and fell in love with it even more when i visited again in DC last month. how i wish we have club monaco here because lately i found myself leaning towards clean, simple yet modern and sleek clothes which is offered by club monaco. they feature simplicity at its best. maybe you can compare it to banana republic but it is not as conservative, definetely more stylish than banana republic. i think i’m over the trendy store like forever 21, hehe..granted the price is higher than forever 21 but the quality is certainly better and the style is classic, everything can be matched with anything, so you will never look outdated. i’m going to chicago again next month, and of course i’ll be at the north michigan avenue store.
the first club monaco store was opened in Toronto, Canada in 1985. so it was originally a canadian retailer but Polo Ralph Lauren Corp bought Club Monaco in 1999. now club monaco can be found in 6 canadian provinces and also some US Cities like LA, SF, Washington DC, Atlanta, Chicago, Boston, Michigan, Mall of America Minnesota, New Jersey, New york City, Virginia and Seattle as well as countries like Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, Dubai. I heard its online store is coming up soon..that’s good to hear….=)

thanks alice, i bought the kate spade online and it’s still not in my hands right now, i’ll post picture once it’s arrived..=)..and thanks for the idea too, i’ve tried that once…but like i said in the comment on my last post, i work from home, so my everyday outfit is gaucho pant and t-shirt, totally unstylish and totally different from closettherapy..;)..but i’ll try to take pictures when i dress up next time..=)

eh iya, nyambung lagi =).i saw u just bought blue cult jeans ya? sama donk…disini nyari blue cult agak susah, dptnya di boutique jade, di menteng…pas disc 30%, jadi sekitar 900 ribuan. demen ga sama meli melo? kemarin itu ga ada yang pas, tp lutu2 ya modelnya dia..kl blue cult, cuttingnya pass banget sama gue..
alice nggak papa kok, hehe. yes gaucho is nice and comfy but it’s too casual. well it depends on the fabric juga sih. iya waktu itu gue ke orange yang di kelapa gading mall, hehe..it’s alright ya ada lah one or a few things that are okay, i agree with the quality but i have a corduroy blazer that i got from there last year that still holds up well (except for the missing button..hehe). i’ve never heard of mineola sama nyla tuh, i’ll check them out when i go home end of this year. iya last time ke jakarta dec 2004-jan2005. oh kamu baju kantornya harus rapih gitu yaa, di sini banyak sih ada express, the limited, j crew and yes club monaco too..hehe. kalo di jakarta yang mirip2 gitu di mana yaa? project shop maybe? hehe…ayo yang di jakarta tolong bantuin dong..:P
iya betul sekarang juga gue sukanya lebih ke classic pieces cause it’s well worth the money. blue cult gue beli di marshalls for 45 bucks hehehe…my sister got hers for $22..what a deal kan. mine was the one with flap back pocket and red stiching (along with some big yellow stiching)..this reminds me that i have to get it hemmed.
i’ve never tried meli melo, i liked the one with the braided accent near the belt waktu itu tapi nggak pernah liat sih di mall. btw, have you checked bluefly? banyak meli melo on sale..=). iya blue cult juga cuttingnya enak di gue sama joe jeans and seven jeans.
